Wish DDY would bring out Don't Wait For Heroes. That song got a a lot of visibility on MTV and should have done better on the charts (I think it suffered chartwise was because that bridge was waaaaay too long and sapped the energy from the song ( needed a single edit), but would love to hear it in concert. Has it ever been played? Wonder why he doesn't add it?

toph i agree......that song was one of his best solo songs and I have always loved the lyric "winners are losers that got up and gave it just one more try"....or something like that, been a while since I heard the song. :D

It HAS been played live... but we're talking about jumping on the way-back machine. When I saw him in '89 for Boomchild, I remember he played it. I *think* he played it again during the show after he released 10 on Broadway, but I can't remember clearly on that one.

I'm convinced that the song could have been a bigger hit as a follow up to Desert Moon had the eliminated the middle part on the single. It slowed it down waaaaaaaaay too much and lost way too much energy for too long of a time - the bridge section is some minute and 20 seconds. Remember, MTV played the hell out of the video. It was an exclusive that got played at the top of the hour for like a month. Had they eliminated the middle, my bet is that it would have gone at least top 40 and who knows might what have happened to the solo career. As it was it only peaked at like #84.
