Stunned that Suite Madame Blue is not in the Top 5, let alone not even listed. My top 5:

5. Suite Madame Blue
4. Come Sail Away
3. Borrowed Time
2. The Grand Illusion
1. Born For Adventure

That's actually by design. We try not to repeat the same songs on lists, and SMB was in the Top 10 Styx Songs list already. So was CSA, but we felt we almost HAD to top off with that one. But I wanted to save as many slots as possible for other songs.

Thanks!

What is the definition of rock here? Are they ordered by how much they rock? Or are they rocking songs ordered by how good they are?

Because while Come Sail Away may be the best Styx song that has a rock edge to it, given 1/2 of it is a ballad, the synth middle, and the guitar part, while a good guitar lick, is still relatively in control and melodic, it is hardly the hardest rocking DDY song.

They're not really ordered by how much they "rock" or by quality, since both of those are relative to the individual. They are really just ten rock songs of his, and I usually try to have a mix of more obscure and better-known tracks. But it's almost always good to top it off with a better-known song because this is a site aimed at a general classic rock audience, not just Styx fans.

Thanks!
