Plain and simply, do Styx use backing tapes for the harmonies/vocals, or are they 100% LIVE?
And what about Foreigner?

As for STYX, they have admitted that while touring with REO there were some "backstage" additions to the harmonies. So if Kevin Cronin has a microphone backstage, I guess it's still live.

It was "The Earth, A Small Man, His Dog and a chicken". Are you sure it was neal?
They had an extra guy that tour to play keys. Neal played the organ.
FormerDJMike wrote:I think also in 96 Dennis didn't want to play keyboards at all and wanted to use Lou (much like he doesn't play them much on his solo shows) but the rest of the band wanted him to play. Again that was a long time ago so I might not be remembering it right. Hard to believe 1996 was a long time ago lol!

What is your source for this information? I do know that Dennis has publicly commented that he didn't play keys on his solo shows because he was the sole focus of the show and did not want to be stuck behind the keyboard.

I forgot her name, she worked for Water Dog Records. Used to correspond with her in the early days of the internet when I worked in radio I believe it was her who told me.

It might have been Joe Vannelli. They talk about him playing the keys on the XM confidential DVD. He is also listed as a producer with Kevin on "Find your own way home".
