I love Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence and Awake. I actually love all their material, but those two are probably my favorites. I've heard only two songs off the new album so far. Sounds like they released another winner. Unfortunately I have never been to a headlining Dream Theater concert, but I saw them open for Iron Maiden in 2010 (one of their last dates with Mike Portnoy) and they were a fantastic live band. I do want to catch them again.
To get a little off topic, how many of you here have heard of Seventh Wonder? I've always compared them to Dream Theater. Except they can write good hooks and catchy choruses while still being masters of progressive virtuosity.

They're masters at writing concept albums and the singer has hands down one of the best voices in music. My friends who like Dream Theater are all glad that I introduced them to Seventh Wonder.

It's hands down one of the best concept albums ever written. Super diverse, emotional, and powerful with incredible songwriting and musicianship.

"It's really important if you're going to remain a valid band that you play your new stuff. Otherwise you become a parody of what you started out doing." - Janick Gers of Iron Maiden
