im more concerned about which 10 albums changed your life toph......with your musically genius ears I cant wait to have the list.....because I know there is now way I will have any of them. your just beyond me in picking music.....but i want to get better and learn from the master.....the master is you toph....please give me the list so i can rush out and buy them.

you guys are truly cracking me up.......i guess you must be real good friends with toph or something.....because I have seen toph for months/years literally derail or train wreck threads.....in fact, i have seen toph deliberately try to offend those who dont see things the way he does by starting ridiculous threads or by throwing insults at those who dont see things his way.

so you want to tell me that my post above asking him to tell what ten albums changed his life is "uncalled for"???? please, give me a break......the fact of the matter is that toph pushes people around on this board all time.......i would love to have legitimate discussions on a band that we all obviously love.....but people like toph prevent that from happening the majority of the time.

because with him, it's not OK to be in the JY camp or the Tommy camp.........it's all DDY.....and to me I dont give a crap who is right or wrong......I love their music and I'm glad they are still all playing whether together or not. so while I have opinions about the past and I dont side with DDY on all of it, I dont care that he does or that you do....i RESPECT that position.....how bout doing the same for others that dont side with you???????? wow, what an original idea?

toph has been less than friendly to many people on this board for as long as i can remember.....if you guys think he's great, then good for you......but dont offend me and others on here with any intelligence that toph is suddenly the victim.....it's laughable and we all know it.

So here's my answer. Firstly, this thread has stirred up nothing. It's simply a link to an article about DDY talking about what music influenced him. Nothing combative. Yet you chose to turn the thread in that direction. If you dislike and consider that Toph does the same then why would you do the same exact thing here? I don't endorse making posts or starting threads just to stir the pot. In my opinion, if that is what you feel a certain person is doing then the best thing to do is ignore that persons posts or threads. By using the tit for tat approach you only fuel the situation to continue on and on. At least your responses could be constructive otherwise it makes it appear that you are stooping to the same level as those you are calling out.

Yes, interesting... I also love Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's and Abbey Road... Have them all on re-issued vinyl when they came out a few years ago. Also "Who's Next". Some great picks by Dennis if you ask me.

I do express my opinions about the band and have taken digs at members of it. To the best of my knowledge, I never turned the discussion into a personal crusade to taunt, belittle etc. other posters. ok toph.....couple of points to above post.

1) i dont believe you about your "non-intent" to cause issues. and for you to say that you dont really mean to stir the pot means that you are either really ignorant or you think those that read your posts are. there is no in-between on this. because a great deal of your posts or sometimes even your thread titles are super inflammatory. you know it, i know it, dumb ass monkeys in cages would know it......so to coin one of your genius phrases, "I call bullshit" on that one.

2) my problem with you calling "bullshit" is that its not needed the majority of the time......at this point after months and years on this board we all know clearly where you stand on the politics of it all......so to my ears it would be helpful if you would just shut up. if someone starts a thread about their favorite JY songs then dont turn it into what a bad person he is.....we know you think he's a piece of shit....we get it oh great one. why dont you either contribute to the thread in a positive way or simply bypass it?

3)the only pedestals I put tommy and jy up on have to do with their talent and music.....and by the way its the same pedestal i put ddy on and countless other musical heros up on......i'm sure if i knew these guys personally I would no doubt find many flaws with them as human beings.....i dont give a shit about that....i just like their music.

4) as for calling out my man crush jy....no problem, based on what I see out of jy in interviews and what not, he appears to be a very smug and cocky man......quite full of himself.....but guess what, i actually like that about him.....maybe if I was in business with him I would hate his guts.....but as a fan, that doesnt know the man, I love persona of jy the "godfather". but does he come across like a dick? hell yes, and he likely is a pure asshole.....what does that have to do with whether I like his songs or what he does for my favorite band? nothing in my eyes and that's where we differ.

5) i'm not hypocritical at all.....as I have pointed out numerous times before, I dont care about the politics of this band.....I wish they were all still together.....i really do, but they arent.....I think JY is an asshole, DDY is not far behind in the asshole department and tommy is likely a backdoor conniving little prick as well when it comes to doing business......tommy and jy are wrong for taking ddy off the website and I wish they hadnt done it.....but for all I know they did it because ddy threatened to sue them or asked them to take him off. or tommy and jy simply hate his guts and at the end of the day they own the controlling rights to the business so it's their decision not mine. if they get around to doing something to the point that I cant stand it then I will make a simple decision to not follow them.....and if that happened i wouldnt waste my time at a message board attacking and belittling everyone else that doesnt have a problem with them or as big a problem with as you do.....

oh my, where to start on this?????? yes, you do take shots at others.....but you're way more passive aggressive than toph, so whether it's intended or not, you cloak it better.....but you do do it and on a regular basis.

my "mission" was based around the cumulative effects of dealing with toph's continued shit stirring and belittling of others opinions.....in case you guys havnt noticed, there's not alot of places on the internet to have legitimate discussions with people that genuinely love this band......so it's very frustrating to me that I come to this place hoping to get some news, updates or engage in some styx love to constantly have to deal with threads like "jy the worst singer in rock history" etc....etc.......etc.........etc.........etc..........etc.......... it's so boring and a waste of time, childish pathetic behavior. Was it constructive? not likely, but I do know that others have patted me on the back and sent me messages thanking me for being willing to call him out.......and up until yesterday, I had no desire to "call bullshit" on him.....it was easier to just sift thru his pointless posts in the hopes that I could find some decent ones from others and occasionally even toph himself. toph is a bully, comes across extremely arrogant, makes inflammatory remarks towards people and the things they support.....does he have to agree with others? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
