tommy & dennis "switcharoo"

ok let's try to do something around other than argue…….this is hopefully a legitimate and potentially fun thing to consider……if you could pick one dennis song that you would love to hear tommy sing what would it be……and what would be the tommy song you would love to hear dennis sing?

it doesn't mean you feel the other would sing it better but rather based on just wanting to hear it out of curiosity.

mine would be dennis singing "crystal ball"

and tommy singing "rockin the paradise".

that would be very cool for boat on the river.....i remember seeing them on the edge of the century tour and when they came out and did "all in a day's work" i was sitting there desperately hoping they would do at least part of boat on the river.....i think it would have been awesome to see ddy sing that tune.

as for tommy on borrowed time.....i actually got to see that live around the summer of 2002 or so in cincy, oh.......they actually opened with borrowed time and tommy and jy traded off on the verses of the song.....tommy sounded great singing it and made it sound quite a bit more bluesy......jy did ok as well as this was before he lost more of his voice but tommy sounded much better. the other cool thing was that they replaced the "yes", "no" bridge of the original with the bridge from "pieces of eight" before going back into the last part of borrowed time.

Now this is a really good topic.

Since CB has already been picked... I'm thinking Dennis could sing Blue Collar Man. It would sound very good.

I honestly would like to hear Tommy sing Babe.

That would have been an interesting one to hear.

I also would like to hear Tommy sing Pieces of Eight (the song). I always heard it was one of his favorite Dennis tunes and he personally pushed to have it included on "Gold" or whatever that double CD compilation was at the time. He also wanted it on GH2, but for a while DDY didn't think the song was one of his best. I think he's had a bit of a change of heart on it as he has dusted it out and played it in concert a few times now.

DDY on "Man In The Wilderness"?
