Good reviews. Only thing I disagree with is "... the great ballad First Time". I'll never see the merits of that tune, especially where Styx is concerned.
Also, as a general point, I think it'd be cooler if Dennis stuck with more of his songs, including stuff from 100 Years from Now. Sure, toss in some Shaw stuff, but man, he's got so many great songs that'd be awesome in HIS show that fans have not heard in ages. The writer pointed out "Why Me" and I could point out many more. He's got the freedom to do that under his name, where Styx is kind of stuck playing the hits and only the hits because they are the name on those hits.
I wonder why Dennis is not doing that, it's a great opportunity to do so and to not have things get stale. If you think about it, people are already going to see "Dennis DeYoung", so they know who the guy is and most of them are probably fans, so they'd be apt to know the more obscure stuff.
