Wow great interview! He really gave Tommy a lot if complements! I hope Tommy reads that by him self and says "yes DDY is good guy". For everything DDY has been through he is still very optimistic. And did I read that correct? Frontiers offered him to make a new studio album?! Dennis, please give us at least one more opportunity to hear new music from you!!! P.S reach out to TS to sing background vocals or do lead guitar on a song or two. One can only hope.

Nice interview. Even though we have heard most of this stuff before, you get little bits you haven't. As far as the album offer from Frontiers, I can see why he would not take them up on it. I think if he wasn't he wouldn't bother mentioning it.

Dennis tends to hit the same points a lot. Kinda like McCartney in his interviews.
Still, this was a really fun to read interview and kudos to Dennis for not sinking to a lower level and being complimentary to Shaw.
You have to kind of put yourself in JY and Shaw's place though too- they obviously felt Dennis slighted them by being a guy that was driven to succeed. Sometimes guys that have a lot of drive and focus and are persuasive can get the "egomaniac" tag. I really don't think that Dennis is like that. I think that I used to, but I don't think that way anymore. I think he was a guy that knew what he wanted and that he did have a pretty good handle on what Styx should be. He kinda herded all the cats. I DO appreciate that he takes the blame for the Kilroy thing.
He's actually coming up near Seattle and I bought tickets for the show. He's playing in a WAY out of the way place, but it'll be cool to see him. Last time was in 97.

I think that part of the reason he seems to hit the same points is that he usually is asked the same or similar questions during an interview. I agree that he seemed to be very driven to succeed and was not going stop getting up off the mat when knocked down. It also seems that he had a keen sense of what was going to work the best when it came to pleasing the fans and grow their fan base.
