Todd and Taylor are having another baby...So, Todd is going to take a tour off and is being temporarily replaced by Deen Castronovo.

Or, maybe they finally figured out who Toph is and are going to out him to the world. Or, not..

As much as I love Todd's drumming, don't tease me with a good time. Deen is such a high energy live drummer and would be awesome to see him in Styx.

Why would they announce it so far in advanced if this is true? almost 11 months in advanced.

New album obviously, I'm thinking around November.

Well, according to Facebook, we'll all know by 10 AM EDT tomorrow.

I know it would never happen but if they wanted to really generate some sales and make some money the best thing to do would have DDY guest and co write a song or two on a new CD. Heck, even have Glen sing back up on a song to. Bring back as many surviving members as possible for one last time on a recording. Tommy is all about peace and love so why not???

It's a 5 day residency in Las Vegas with Don Felder. Kind of lame of them to hype it up so much

And what's with them and Don Felder? He's a great guitarist, yes. But vocally stagnant. No range at all. I'd much rather hear Gowan sing DDY songs for 2 straight hours.

Also did you see their response on FB to a post someone typed reading they were hoping DDY was coming back? Simply put by Styx, "that's not going to happen..."

As if anyone with moderate intelligence thought that. Certainly nobody on here. But a new album? I'm pretty sure a lot of us figured on that.

Sorry don't get it. Don't see how this is something "big". It's what they have been doing all the long.

REALLY disappointed in this "announcement"

Honestly this was a huge letdown. Who the fuck cares if they are playing a few shows with Don Felder in Vegas?

I think the question that should be asked is, do the fans have the right to ask them to do something they clearly don't want to do?

Especially since they've played with him already. How many people really wanna see Don Felder sing Eagles songs? Plays great, no vocal ability.

Of course they do.

I have the right to ask you to dress in drag and do the hula, too. But, that doesn't mean you will do it.

IMO, they should use this Vegas thing to record their album. Pick a day and simply play 8 songs or so live, and release it on CD and DVD...along with their normal show on CD. A 3 disc package.

I'd buy it...but, I won't buy a "Live in Vegas" CD/DVD, if that is what the plan is.

They're not that creative. But I would expect that they will be filming this stint and releasing it on disc.
