For me, this album is gonna be alot like a Dream Theater album ( minus length of songs), its gonna take quite a few listens for this album to grow on me.
But at first listen, all the way through with a bunch of interruptions the music is brilliant!!

I'm let down a little, since there are too many slow, or at best mid-tempo, songs in a row. I appreciate the intensity and rock opera feel to it, but I was hoping for more upbeat rockers, like "Gone Gone Gone".
While I will listen many more times, "Trouble At The Big Show" seems pointless and only there to give JY his song, "Locomotive" doesn't really go anywhere, and "The Outpost" has more of an 80s vibe than expected. Interestingly, at this point, I think Gowan has the better songs, since it seems that Tommy stuck to the slower "Crystal Ball" types, with no "Renegade" types.
