Styx, Dennis Deyoung, Boston, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Night Ranger, Asia, The Outfield.. so many bands from my youth. Sounds like many of their original masters are gone.

A&M, Geffen, MCA, etc..

It's surreal. Not the news I wanted to hear after an extremely hard two weeks.

Sigh.

That’s horrible.

They just did a story on it on CNN. They are blaming Trump for this.

At least some of the Styx stuff is fine. The US master tape was used for the SHM-SACD a few years ago. The Audio Fidelity remasters used the tapes as far as I know. The vinyl remasters/box set a few years ago did. For awhile, most of the Styx stuff was on the East Coast so I'm pretty sure their stuff is reasonably ok. There could be losses for sure, but I also have other reasons to assume that the Styx catalog - at least most of it - is fine. 'nuff said.
