I saw Styx "Icon" on vinyl while in Walmart yesterday. Looks kind of cool but nothing I would buy since I already have all of the songs on vinyl. Thought I would share in case someone wants to seek it out.

I'm a 'lazy completionist', but for collecting Styx I'll buy the same album repackaged (Styx Anthology /Styx Gold for example) just to have every release. I'm also big on coloured vinyl... If I exclude this release, I believe I'm missing 2 official/licensed coloured LPs and possibly a 7" single from my collection.

I don't own the CD of this Icon release (put out in 2010) but the coloured vinyl I'd probably buy (not available here in Canada at the moment). Rush just got an Icon release with 2 versions where the 'standard' release is clear with red splatter and the Wal-Mart exclusive is a solid red.

One to look for is the Styx Icon 2 'Zinepack'. I came across it and bought it for the 64-page booklet :)

I've just gotten back into vinyl and still have all my Styx albums. (wish I would have kept the other 500 albums I had) I found this red vinyl copy of cornerstone that I picked up last week. Here is the link for anyone interested.

Picked this up too!.... why I didn't mention these releases on my previous reply I don't know...

A French label (Lmlr / Culture Factory) released 3 Styx albums this year. Piece of Eight (opaque grey), Paradise Theatre (translucent blue) and Cornerstone (translucent red)

Interesting that they've not done The Grand Illusion... maybe because of the translucent green release in 2017 from UMe/A&M?

I would like to see all the A&M Styx albums get a color vinyl release. Maybe we will get some new items for the 50th anniversary.

Very nice glossy jackets on those. I have the reissues from UMe a couple of years ago, no need for more but those look really well done. I think my copy of Cornerstone is "Music Now" or something. The cover art is very dark and the lyrics were printed on glossy paper but it pixilated and looks horrible and grainy. but the record plays fine. What is odd is the label on the record has the Styx WN logo instead of the classic logo they use today.

Just checked the Acoustic Sounds website and they have a used copy of PT for $85! That's crazy! Used copies can be found in good condition for $5 or less. No way I'd pay $85 for that.

You've got the 'Music On Vinyl' reissue https://www.discogs.com/Styx-Cornerstone/release/15185780. Came out in 2013, a year after Friday Music re-issued Cornerstone, Pieces of Eight and Grand Illusion

Yeah, that's the one - non-gatefold cover. It was only $8.88 so I deal I couldn't pass up even if the lyric/picture insert isn't high quality.
