Hello Goodbye. Fun catchy song about Beatles music, has a nice Beatle riff in it. Reminds me of High Time a little and Beatle songs It's Getting Better and I Want To Tell You.
Land Of The Living. Might be my favorite on the album. Not trying to sound like Styx and just a nice upbeat song
Last Guitar Here. upbeat predictable song. It's okay
Your Saving Grace. reminds me of a 90s Elton John song. Nice song.
Proof Of Heaven. We've all heard this one last year.
Made For Each Other. Typical DDY slow song
There's No Turning Back Time. Reminds me go While There's Still Time.
St. Quarantine. Was this a lost track from Back To The world?? Mid tempo, very similar to other DDY songs.
Little Did We Know. Sounds like it was written for the album One Hundred Years From Now. Just okay
Always Time. Best Slow song on the album. Reminds me of Alan Parsons a little.
Isle Of Misanthrope. Most Styx sounding song on the album. Starts off like Suit Madame Blue and builds. A little repetitious at times.
Grand Finale. is exactly what you think it is, re-recorded.

I like this album better than volume one and probably better that any of his albums since Boom Child. I will give it a B-. Nothing here shocked me in any way and there are no chances taken or veering off the path at all but why start now? A decent send off to DDY. ......My options here are based on 90 second clips from iTunes.......

How were you able to hear the album if it wasn't released yet? Did you personally hear the entire songs or just the snippets from iTunes? Also what you posted is this your review of the songs or did you read other reviews on iTunes or Amazon? I'm curious, because I can't wait to hear the songs from this album. I pre-ordered the album.

I heard 90 seconds of each song on iTunes. My opinions were based on that. I was surprised to see them. That normally does not happen. I'll admit you can't make a complete judgement on the 90 second clips but I feel it's enough to have a good idea whether you'll like it or not. I will say that the song There's No Turning Back Time sounds like it's about to pickup right before it cuts off in the clip. I also have it pre-ordered on vinyl.

You're right, that usually doesn't happen on iTunes. I just ordered the single Isle Of Misanthrope on Amazon right now. I personally really like the song a lot!! I pre-ordered the vinyl and cd from Frontiers.

Wonder why? Glad I had a chance to hear the tracks. After listening to them I have cancelled my preorder of the vinyl version. I'll still get it but will either download the digital files or order the CD but I can't justify paying $25 for a record I will rarely play.

You assessment of the album (from the iTunes samples) is pretty spot on. I like the Beatles sounding track, Land Of The Living... Last Guitar Hero sounds a little forced. You're right about St. Quarantine, it also reminds me of something from Back To The World. It is really hard to judge an album on streaming samples. And as a result as much as I want to like all of these songs I do not but that won't keep me from getting it, it just discouraged me from getting it on vinyl. But the price may come down because Vol 1 was also around $25 and is now $17.

Anyway, I have been wrong before because a few times I have heard snippets on Apple Music and decided I would not order something then when the full release would come out I would change my mind. I hope that is the case with this new one.
