I think this is a forgettable track, nothing groundbreaking here. It also doesn't sound like Styx at all. So far they are 0-2 for me.

I expected nothing less then this comment from you. Suite can save some time and just copy and paste. DDY fans would be drooling if he put out anything close to this quality! This is how you move forward and still maintain your sound. As I have said, the music will speak for itself and Styx is hitting it out of the park!

I've been a supporter of both camps for all 20 years, so I'm just being honest with what my ears tell me, I'm not impressed, sorry it doesn't sound memorable to me at all.

At least we have all this new music to discuss. Most fans of bands from our era have nothing but old songs.

I agree, I'm enjoying listening to all of the new stuff, I'll take whatever I can get, I'll probably even grow to like it, but I have to complain first.

Were complaining about Cyclorama? The only song on it that sounds like the "old Styx" is "These Are the Times", and Dennis refused to record it. The one that everybody seems to like, "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye", is very far away from the Styx sound but everybody seemed to think it was top 40 material. Even "One With Everything" doesn't sound much like old Styx, except maybe some of the keyboards and it being a bit Progressive.

I agree that if Dennis released these songs, they would be all over it.

For me, this is what I EXPECT Styx to sound like. Gowan is really bringing what he has to the table now. Love Tommy's guitar work. These two songs, and the others I've heard previews of, seem to show to me that this may be better than "The Mission". Sounds pretty good to me...and we still haven't even heard Tommy sing lead vocals on one of these yet.

I love it! My van has a really great sound system, so I went for a drive and cranked it. It's a really upbeat and feel good song! Getting even more excited for the album!

With that being said, I am also really excited for DDYs album too.

June is going to be a great month!

The best of both worlds! This month will be something we never see the likes of again when it comes to Styx and DDY.

The closest comparison is back when Styx and DY both had albums out and touring at the same time.

Same here, I have been a Styx AND DDY fan, seen both in concert and bought all their stuff. Not getting into it, but maybe a few more listens I will.

Maybe some of us are still wanting another grand illusion. That will never happen and could never live up to expectations. To me, this song and Crash show that Styx can make new music that still is embedded in the legacy and at the same time expand the horizon. I’m all in!

I need to listen a few more times. Not into it right away like I was with DDY,s new albums. Is Tommy and Will writing every song? Is there any input from Lawance or even Rickey? If not , just call it Styx, a Tommy Shaw project.

Lawrence and Ricky both are listed as writers on this song and Crash.

I do remembering enjoying the first 2 singles from Mission more. Neither from Crash are bad, but Tommy is the one I'd rather hear handle lead vocals.
