Tommy just announced it, they must get early access to the charts. I’ll link it tomorrow morning when the charts are made public. They also came in at #17 in Switzerland and #26 in Germany.

I heard from a buddy I know that had at one time some inside info ( Spin) that it was 114 overall in albums. He didn’t know where it was on Rock albums. Sometimes he’s ( Disco Pete) full of shit, so he might of just been telling me crap cause he knows what a huge Styx fan I am & I was bragging about this album to him.

That could be correct. It’s also #5 in top current albums on billboard.

COTC is still doing well on Amazon. #5 rock album and #11 overall.

I’m totally confused. I just went on Billboard on rock it’s showing Queens Greatest Hits #1 and I can only view the top 3. What kind of shape is rock & roll in when a tired OLD Queen album is # 1 in 2021??

Then I went to the top albums and I couldn’t even find Crash Of The Crown in the top 100. What am I missing? Please screen shot these for us please. I think the album is a fuc .ing MASTERPIECE. I’d really like to see these charts. I was looking at the June 26 charts I believe. Thanks

I believe that is the streaming rock chart not sales. It’s really confusing. If the top 200 album chart was still calculated as it had been for 60 years, Styx would be at #5. Now if someone streams a song from Queens greatest hits they get credit for a sale. It’s ridiculous!

It's pretty wacky how things are calculated now.... Raw physical copies and actual digital album sales numbers seem to be with the insiders these days.. I'd love for Styx to share those stats too!

Hope it rides the charts for a while. Just from this, it probably outsold "The Mission". The 15,000 was US only, BTW.

I'm not form the U.S. but I almost wonder if this weekend (4th of July coming up) will continue to see some sales for the new album and
Greatest Hits (who doesn't want some Renegade or Miss America blaring!) Hits is ramping up in the rankings once again

I agree to a point but I think it’s still an indication of what people are listening to or interested in, just a smaller sample size.

That may be true. But, for bands like Styx it matters because they are not going to get on the radio for a single to be heard and popularized. So, IMO, Styx is in a good place. The album is FANTASTIC and should be purchased as a whole. For aging bands like Styx being album oriented instead of focused on singles could be a very wise decision.

Also, these songs are short enough that they can perform a few or more in concert and not be a big deal.

IMO, this release (and the last one) have been nothing but good for the band.

Could have dropped. Charted at 114 with 9,000 physical copies sold (the #1 album that week sold 20,500 copies). Well received album among the fanbase, but even CDs are hard to sell these days when many just listen to a streaming service (supposedly Billboard counts something like ~1,000 streams of an album as 1 physical copy sold?)

Crash Of The Crown did drop from the iTunes Top 100 Rock Albums for a couple of days this week, only to come back at #74 yesterday and sitting at #92 this morning (9am EST Jul 9). #25 on Amazon after having dipped below #30 the past few days too!

Greatest Hits is still on iTunes Rock 100 at #94 and is #132 in CDs & Vinyl on Amazon... It's getting a fair resurgence I think.

It also seems like The Mission must have ticked up a bunch of sales too... it was down in the 20-30,000's and hit #993 before slowly doing back down. Sitting at #5,795 today

COTC is moving back up the Amazon Rock new releases where it is at #6 this morning.

Amazon changes by the hour. They have been playing in front of crowds of 10K to 15K this past week. It seems to be helping GH and COTC.

COTC is currently in the top 20 on Amazon overall new releases and top 10 rock new releases. Also still on the top rock album chart on iTunes. I think this is incredible for an album that was released a month ago. It’s not just the hard core fans who are buying it. This has got to be encouraging for the band and record label.
