Check out the BRAND NEW Styxworld.com website. It looks to be pretty cool. I really havent gotten a chance yet to maneuver around it yet, but it looks fresh.

The site was sorely in need of updating.......however, I hope enough people will complain about the size of type and color of it
versus the background. I found it to be un-readable in many areas.
I even spied a picture of DDY, as they put a picture of the cover of Styx I in the "brief history" section.....I'm almost surprised they didn't try to edit Dennis out of the picture ! By the way, was Dennis ever REALLY in the band ? or is that another one of those
urban legends / Myths ??? ( like the Hollocaust )

Well I was "shocked" to see Dennis' name mentioned in the "A Brief Musical History" part. Not only was his name mentioned but it also mentioned Dennis' solo work - WOW

Yes, they have the pictures of the albums and they do show Dennis. Maybe they're getting ready for a reunion for the Rock n'Roll Hall of Fame, Class of 2006
I suppose this Styx site will just focus on the current Styx line-up. But if this is the "official" Styx site, I wish they would also mention more of Chuck and both John's in the history or have a separate section about the past members - just MY opinion. It looks like they're adding more items, so I'll have to wait and see. I also see Glen is not mentioned anywhere, well I didn't look really good, but I didn't see him. In the "Bio" part and they talk about the "carrot" cd, Glen is not mentioned. Hmmmm, was there more to Glen leaving?

The Glen omission IS interesting.....I am surprised you could read the site well....maybe it's my computer ? I could read the old site, and almost every other site I've ever visited just fine.
I expect Styx to be nominated / accepted into the R&R H.O.F.
the same year the Cubs win the World Series......( so, in other words, don't hold your breath )

Classic, I can read the Styxworld site just fine. Earlier today I couldn't read it that good.
You know, I was reading over the bio's about the band and I was impressed. They seem to be very fan friendly and more open than I ever seen before. I know JY seemed (to me) to be pretty secluded through the years, but he seems to be opening up more and more as time goes on. I'm sure if I read through the site more, I'll find some things to complain about - LOL
I'm glad that Dennis' site has been updated too with all of the new concert dates
As for the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, well I have a very GOOD feeling lately about Styx being nominated. Ya never know. As for the Cubs, they're getting closer again. I'm a Brewers fan

First off Froy...... You sent your comments about the new Styxworld to the band correct??? That is what you stated.... How did you go about doing that?? I would love to make contact with them. Was it through Tommy's website, or Todds, or Glens??? How do you contact them??? I am sure they will respond to a person who wants them to fail with EVERY fiber of his hypocritical being. Moving on to the new website. I really like it but there are some things I would surely like to change or happen. First off, I dont see how the album 'What If' should of been plugged in any way. To say the song 'Ever Since The World Began' came from that album is completely false. 'Ever Since The World Began' was a remake that appeared on Tommy's Album 'Ambition'. 'Ambition' was a farrrrr superior album than 'What If'. I just wonder if someone is not trying to plug the Absolute albums( City Slicker, Girls With Guns, and What If) because JY and Tommy have an intrest in that lable. I cant believe there isnt some real hype for Seven Deadly Zens and Ambition because both of those albums were excellent, espically Seven Deadly Zens. What about the Shaw/Blades CD?? Moving on.... Dennis did get some love shown to him in the group bio as did Glen in Tommy's 12-15 note, and on the making of Cyclorama section. I sure wish they would devote and ENTIRE section in their website to Dennis Deyoung, John Curulewski, John Panozzo, Chuck Panozzo, and Glen Burtnik. I would also want this section updated from time to time. All of the above mentioned were a HUGE part of the bands history. I realize they HAVE to plug the current members more, but the past members also deserve the ink. In the 'now' information age I have ALWAYS wanted to know mooore about John Curulewski. I really feel JY, Tommy, Chuck and even Dennis have really kept quiet about John C. I sure wish one of em would open up and let the Styx fans of Equinox and before to know alot more about him.

Easy Froy, some other tracks off BNW didn't have any lyrics either.
I think it is a good site, bio is just fine.

I just have to point out how TOTALLY BLOODY lame most of your takes are. You NEVER did respond to the who's in Journey now assembly line I asked you about eons ago. How about that cross country flight?? How was the concert??? Froyocrite is that a word?????????? So HOW did you contact the members of Styx??????? Was it the same way you sent Dennis a letter back in 91 telling him Tommy had to come back? Or do you just wish these things using ALL of your Froyocrite mindpower, and somehow it passes to the minds of the band members. Tell us another story pleeaasssse!!!!!!

Froy, are you looking for lyrics for a specific song from BNW? I don't know if you checked out this site yet, but it has the lyrics to the Styx albums. I like to read the Styx Trivia section, it's pretty interesting.
Here's the link:
http://www.styxnet.com/styxlyrics/
I wish there was some site on the internet that had all of the tour dates, cities and set lists from the very beginning of Styx. That's what I want to see. Also who they opened for and who opened for them. I'm finding bits and pieces from other band sites.
I'm also finding more old articles which are interesting to read.

Froy,
With all of the holidays coming up I am NOT sure which one they celebrate on YOUR planet, but my best guess would be to wish you a VERY HAPPY FESTIVUS this year. I hope Dennis remembers to bring the pole!

You 2 are very entertaining........
Froy, I am a big fan of ( most of ) the Wooden Nickle era music, and John C, but being only 12 Years Old when that era ended and TS joined the group, I discovered that musica well after it was
1st put out........and I would like to know more about JC than is currently available on Today's internet.
If you are well versed on that era, please do tell what you know...
why is he generally ignored ( other than the bio's that say he was
in the group at that time ) what were his reasons for leaving ?
did the band stay in touch , or was it a bitter parting ? Did he and Dennis have different visions for the band ? did he see eye-to-eye
with the future reluctant legend ?

I personally do not know anything about that era.
I really don't know about JC either.
Saw him once in concert.

Froy,
Keep on fightin' the good fight. I've stayed away for a little while, but it's nice to see that Yogi is his usual overly excited emotional self. (Estrogen tablets tend to do that) I wish he would return to a more logical standpoint as it was then that he actually contributed to the debate instead of saying how things are always GREAT GREAT.
Personally, I blame his condition on obsessive compulsive Care Bears Movie watching. Well that coupled with his not having been weaned until after puberty kicked in (mom, it's time for the training bra.)
Jimbo, I'm just kidding, I really do believe you actually have a constructive opinion from time to time. Truth be told the only time this board is really interesting is after some new release when the debate about what Styx really is ensues.
Is it just me or does anyone else miss Itchscratchy69, Borrowed Time or whatever other pseudonym he went by?
A Daisy, A Huckleberry and a humble man,
Your Mentor and best pal-Scott

Scott,
Only a JACKASS like you would miss those toothless-nose picking-ass-scratching-Nancy boys with the IQ of an igneous rock-name calling-Arby's loving-MORONS Itchy Scratchy 69 and New Shooz......
I know, I'm no match for their "skills" if you want to call them that, but I thought I'd give it my best shot, in the spirit of the season and all......
You really miss those guys ?
