hi.new to the board.been a big styx fan since pieces of eight.seen the band a few times.met them backstage in london a long time ago.ive even got johns ( bless him ) drumstick.
seen the 3 times in the states in the last 18 months...gilford,worcester,chicago...............................and........
i have my ticket for new years eve,las vegas,front block !!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. heart are touring in june.have my tickets for nottingham and london !!!

I'm a bit confused by your subject title, relative to your posted location are you in the States now ? where did you see the band ? and what are your thoughts on the current lineup vs the classic one?

thanks.im english and live in england !! because the band havent come over for a long time,i decided to go to the states to see them.i saw them at gilford,new hampshire 2002, and this year at worcester,mass and chicago.im flying out tues to see them on new years eve in las vegas.i keep in touch with a few people in the states and meet up with them.in america in the last 18 months ive seen styx(3 times), reox2, journeyx3, heartx3, kansasx2, paul rodgers, queensryche,rush,sammy hagar,nightranger,metallica,linkin park,limp bizkit,.
ive been busy !!
tommy shaw is awesome.i miss ddy,but the new line up are just as good.they are a touring band,and deserve the success they,re having again.cyclorama is a great album.
will be going over again in 2004......

wow.....I bet all of that cost you a few Pounds ! but most of the bands are either past, or coming up fast on 50 years old, so you might just as well see them while they are still out their playing......

I prefer the band with Dennis, but also like the Cyclorama CD, and realize the new lineup is as close as we can hope for to getting new Styx music.
