SAW STYX LAST NIGHT

Saw Styx last night for what has to be close to my 25th - 30th time. Fantastic show!! Every single member of Styx past & present are truly elite musicians & vocalists. The entire show from John Waite to Foreigner to of course STYX were GREAT!

Two questions about the opener John Waite. First off I loved the Baby’s and Bad English and damn if He and his band didn’t pull off some GREAT Led Zepplin last night too. Here’s question 1. Have John and Bryan Adams ever been seen together or are they the same guy? Question #2 and this is the serious one. I know what Ricky and Styx said about Ricky’s voluntary departure from Styx, but was Ricky’s departure before or after he found out that John Waite was on the summer billing?? I’m asking cause I have read that past bandmates of John said he’s pretty tough to work with.

Lastly and I’ve said this multiple times before but once again Lawerence Gowan stole the show. He’s gotta be the best showman I’ve ever seen. He truly knows how to take over a stage.

That's a good question about John Waite. Maybe Ricky was ready to move on and that was sort of the thing that convinced him that now was the time. If they wanted to, they could have done a Styx/Journey/Waite tour with a short reunion Bad English reunion...not sure if that was ever discussed.

There’s no issue with Ricky and JW. Pure coincidence.
