Hey man, thanks for checking out the article and for the feedback. My photographer friend heard back from the Styx PR person that loved the review and it got shared on John Waite's Facebook page so it is definitely getting seen.

Excellent review. Saw this show in Houston back in June. John Waite & Bryan Adams have never been seen together. I think both could do the others material and be spot on. I loved his set. Foreigner was fantastic and Styx brought the house down. Without a doubt Gowan is the greatest showman I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen this Styx lineup 11 times. The first time in San Antonio back in 99 on Their Brave New World tour. Every single time I’ve come away thinking that about LG. The guy just owns the stage, the moment & the spot light. Thanks for the great review.

Oh and I’m 60, love DDY and still want to be Tommy Shaw when I grow up.

Gad, I could've written this...
Yeah, for all the sh*t that has been thrown at the current band, they are absolutely a great live act and Gowan brings a TON to the party. He really does. He's just fun. I've not seen him with his brother or the other new guy in the band yet. I'm always working when they come to my area, but I've been watching them on youtube and they're so damned tight live. Their vocals are sickening... at their age to be singing like they're 20. Dayum. Shaw's voice is better now than it was back then. You gotta hand it to them. I know people moan about, say, Blue Collar Man for the zillionth time, but it doesn't sound like they're bored with their older songs that they've played so many times. They sound fresh and the band sounds more than interested.

On John Waite, I like him a lot too. I am a bit disappointed that (in the shows on youtube that I've seen) he changes his vocal phrasing so much from the original tunes. He's not ducking notes or anything, just really changing the phrasing and rhythm of his delivery. It doesn't have to be 'just like the record' but it'd be cool if it was a bit closer for me.
