Chicago is a completely different band then years ago but this is a tour I would not mind seeing. Too bad this did not happen many years years ago. I saw Chicago several times back in the mid/late 90's and they were always very good. On their "NIght and Day" tour, we were in the 5th row and it was very memorable...no opening band, just them. Also saw them at the I-Cubs baseball stadium (now Principal Park) but it is just not the same as when you are so close...but, still fun, a Saturday game and a concert is how it was sold.

So, I am kind of looking forward to this tour.

If Jason Scheff was still their vocalist, I'd be so all over this tour next summer, but since he left, I just have no reason to see them. Really checked out on the band after Chicago XXX.

Have to wonder if they "swap" opener and closer or if Chicago will be closing all the shows.

A horn based rock fusion band ain't in Styx 's wheelhouse.
But who knows?

Chicago had some huge AOR hits in the 80s. Makes perfect sense to me

If Chicago can tour with and open for JImi Hendrix then the can open for Styx...or any other band that they want to.

I believe they will be swapping. It would be interesting to see them do a couple songs together like Chicago did with Earth Wind and Fire. They also did it with The Beach Boys in the mid 70s. Styx did it with REO.

I wish Jason was still in the band. I still follow his career. I like his work with Generation Radio. Same for Bill Champlin. Both were great in Chicago.
