Finally saw the 'Lady' cows commercial from California. Even though football 'pregame' has been going on all day, 6PM was really the start time for the "right before the game" stuff. They showed the commercial after the first break. I consider this the first commercial shown for the Superbowl Game, if you will. I was out of the room. Good think I had already started the VCR a rollin'! My better half saw it and was screaming to me, but I couldn't hear them. Good thing I had started the vcr. My better half, I had told them about it a long time ago, but they had forgotten. So all of a sudden they are watching these cows, and there's Dennis' voice singing Lady. Cool exposure and cool time to finally see it....

PO8,
Saw the commercial myself and was surprised to hear DDY's voice too. The only highlight in a relatively lame superbowl commercial showing, IMO.

Great exposure for Styx these last couple of days. VH1 is re-airing the top commercials. I just happened to walk in on the VW Mr Roboto ad. Still find it rather amusing/IRONIC that JY and Tommy are the ones talking about it, and with such enthusiasm........

funny tv spot, prior to the super bowl. Since Dennis the writer had to approve of the use, I think it continues to show he has a great since of humor. Don't worry Pieces, it won't be long before one of the other "original" members of STYX claims the rights to Lady too.

Lady ? didnt JY write the Chorus ? yeah ! that's IT ! ......sounds just like the rest of his songs !!
and the Bolero thing near the end was suggested by Tommy on a postcard to the group after he heard the rough draft of the song on WLS !
except his lyrics were something like:
Ain't gettin down, Aint Gettin down............which he later re-used when he wrote Come Sail Away, before Dennis messed that one all up too !
And that's EXACTLY how it all came to be.....except, there never was a guy named Dennis in the group, that's just another urban legend !

Classic, I can smell the sarcasm clear over here in Nebraska!
