This is Off Topic :)

Summerfest is the largest music festival in the U.S. If you ever get a chance to visit Milwaukee, you have to make it during Summerfest :)

There are a lot of stages and a LOT of bands that play throughout the day and night. I try to go a couple times (I have free passes).

Anyway, this is the line-up for June 30th. All these bands are playing at the same time at different stages. Seriously, if you had a chance to go, who would you see on this day? For Nickelback & 3 Doors Down, you would have to purchase a ticket, the other bands are free with the entrance fee ($12 at the gate).

Nickelback and 3 Doors Down Marcus Amphitheater

7:30pm Colin Hay of Men at Work Piggly Wiggly

10:00pm Pat Benatar with Neil Giraldo Miller Oasis

10:00pm Kool & The Gang Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard with Miller High Life

10:00pm Gin Blossoms Potawatomi Bingo Casino Stage with Sprecher Brewery

10:00pm Styx North Shore Bank Landing with Miller Lite

10:00pm The Fixx Piggly Wiggly MusicMarket with Leinenkugel's

10:00pm Tesla

I'm already seeing the Gin Blossoms in July by my house. Styx is playing a 4 more times in my area (which I'll pass on), I heard Tesla is awesome in concert. If I don't get free tickets for Nickelback/3 Doors Down, then I think I'm going to see Pat Benatar this night :) I'm also seeing Cheap Trick on another night. I am SO ready for the concerts this summer!!

At this point in time, I'd be all over that Gin Blossoms show, if I had to pick!

I might be interviewing the Gin Blossoms when they come to town. I don't know much about them or their music so I'll have to do my homework :D

Hopefully everything will work out, I should know within 2 weeks.

Did you score your tickets to Marcus for the Nickelback show, or will you be out and about with the "common folk" ????

Hi Classic,

I'm going to the "free" shows this year. Tomorrow night I'm looking forward to seeing Night Ranger. Next Wednesday I don't know if I'm going to see Pat Benatar, Loverboy or Tesla. Carrot Styx is even playing the same night!!!

I had 2 tickets to see Blink 182, but I gave them to my neighbor. I personally don't care for their music - no offense!! Oops, am I bragging again? LOL

Are you going? Is anyone else on this board going to Summerfest this year?

Hey, Miss Braggart! :o

You have a lot of good ones to choose from. Why don't you go see Carrot Styx, you don't have to stay for the whole thing, and give us a report here????

OFF TOPIC

If you don't want to read my bragging, then don't read further - LOL

I saw Night Ranger last week and they were VERY good. I have no idea where they get all that energy from - WOW  The concert was WAY too short. They had to cut a few songs due to the huge firework display.

Here's the bragging part. I did make it to the backstage before their concert. I finally met Jack Blades!! What a nice guy!! He was wonderful and still looked the same as in 1986!! I also met and talked with their new keyboard player Michael Lardie, he was the keyboardist for Great White. He's a very nice guy too. I did have my picture taken :)

I wonder if I should go see Styx at Summerfest. A lot of my Styx friends are going. If I go, I'll have to wear my Dennis DeYoung Roboto concert shirt - LOL
