This might be one for The Crib, but I was wondering if Dennis has ever considered starting another band. Bottom line is that none of them(Dennis, Tommy, JY, Glen) have had much success solo. Tommy had great success when he was with Damn Yankees. If I am not mistakin' Hank Horton played and sung lead on 3 or 4 songs from The James Young's Group Raised By Wolves CD. He has a very good voice. I thought I read or heard Dennis say his son was in an Alternative band(cant think of the name) some years ago, but he sings. I wonder if Dennis has thought of the band route again with vocals being split among its members like that of Styx. How about a band naming contest??????????

Yogi. Love the title of your new "assembly line"! LOL!

Well, for all intents and purposes, Dennis HAS a band right now. He calls it his band. They play and sing with him. It's just that he is adding the orchestra dimension to it as well right now. He calls the orchestra the "fifth member."

He also called it the Dennis DeYoung Band in an interview. Not shy THERE, was he?

It would be a good one to send to the Crib, but I have a feeling he is where he wants to be and who he wants to be now.

How about the current Styx calling themselves Styx featuring James Young and The Midget and Dennis calling his band The New Styx....? Or the new ORIGINAL styx...

Yogi - LOL funny thread I probably could come up with some names, but I don't want to be too mean :) Right now I like Carrot Styx or sometimes refer them to Stynx. I like reading the other boards how some of these women are throwing underwear with little carrots up on stage - too funny!!

I agree with Bugsy, I think Dennis is happy where he is and what he's doing.

Ash, you read that here and at another site that Hank Horton is touring with Dennis. Yes, Yogi is right, Hank played bass with the James Young Group.

Dennis' son Matt is in a music group called "Mama Green". They're finishing up on their second cd. You can download their music on the internet.

And a few others :

Magic Elixir (see Dennis' lame joke about this, but a good band name!)

Two Sizes Too Small (another overused Dennis joke, LOL!)

Not Tony Bennett's Kid/Not Tony Bennett's Band (see above)

How about...

The Dennis DeYoung Traveling Show Band and Broadway Review

Sort of has a Blues Brothers feel to it, could work out for him.

He was just here in KC and it was really a pretty good show, I grew tired of his theatrics on stage with Styx over the years but on his own, it worked and I found it to be an entertaining show.

Well I'm Not Dead Yet.

Excuse me, DeeJay, while I pick myself up off the floor and wipe the tears of laughter from my face.
