spaceace, I care.

I'm still debating if I'm going to buy the Anthology cd or not.
This is probably a stupid question, but are they pre-printed autographs, or are they signed in sharpies before being packaged? I know sometimes a band will sign quite a few before they're packaged and they're sold only at one store.
Is it just the current members that signed the cd - Tommy, JY, Todd, Larry, Chuck and Ricky?
If I decide to buy it, I'll go right to Tower Records. Thanks

spaceace, well you talked me into it, I just purchased it from Tower Records.

Even with the shipping, the price is pretty good.
Yogi, you mentioned that 1 in so many have the "golden" cd. On the Styxworld site, did anyone else have the "golden" one or just that one person?

The Golden one refers to this aleged gold cd that is out there that gets you a meet and greet. Other than the one posting that is on this board somewhere, I have not seen anything in print to substantiate it even exhists. I vaguely remember hearing this some years ago about one of their other cd's and the same deal. I think it is just the work of someone's overzealous imagination.

Suite Madame Blue,
You may need to reread my Festivious post on the 'This Is Very Sad' assembly line. It's on page two. I think you were about to leave for New York when I posted this, so you probably skimmed over what I was saying. You will get it this time.
As for the autographed anthology, they are selling it for 35 dollars at the Styx concerts, and the 35 dollar fee does not include the 1 dollar souvenir booth fee charge, the 2 dollar hand it to you fee,and finally the 5 dollar TICKETMASTER 'Our Ticket Got You In So You Could See The Souvenir Stand fee. It sounds like you got a great deal.

Yogi, I read over your posts. This is what you wrote in one of them :
It is in the May22 issue of Blender Magazine, and the current issue of Rolling Stone Magazine that approximately every 7,500 Come Sail Away The Styx Anthology CD's have both Dennis's and Gowans version of Come Sail Away on it. It actually said 'the odds of receiving one of these collectable CD's is 1 - 7,777'. 'The Cd's are gold colored and if you are lucky enough to get one there is a telephone number to call where you will also receive airfare for, hotel accomadations , and backstage passes(4) to any Styx show between now and 2007. Thats pretty damn awesome!!!!
Was this true that you posted? That's what I was wondering. I'll have to go back and read the whole page again.
Did anybody else order or buy the Anthology Cd? Yogi, it does look like I got a great deal on it, thanks to Spaceace

Thanks SMB for finding that post, I couldn't remember in which thread it was posted.
Personally, I searched both Rolling Stone and Blender and couldn't find a mention of this anywhere in either magazine. But I coulda missed it.

In a later post I admitted I had experienced a flashback when I posted in the Assembly Line that you mentioned. The problem was that I had only flashed back to APRIL 1 of this year. Didnt mean to make anyone thumb through an entire Rolling Stone or Blender magazine. Or did I ??????? I cant remember, that damn Dory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yogi,
This ought to get a chuckle out of you. I went shopping in Lincoln yesterday and every time I stopped somewhere that sold CDs, I checked out the Anthology and tried to peek inside the packaging to see if the edge of the CD looked gold!

Wow, Tower Records are really fast sending out their cd's. I received my Anthology on Monday. Yep, you're right spaceace, it came with an extra autographed booklet, all signed with a sharpie marker.
I can't believe that "Don't Let It End" wasn't included. I'm disappointed that "Queen of Spades" wasn't included. Instead of all these "Greatest Hits", I wish they would just come out with a large Box Set.
