Hmmm, this time last year a few of you made fun of Dennis scheduled to play at the Milwaukee County Zoo. The other boards had a field day too. I can't find the old posts from last year, but I remember how much fun a few of you had making fun of it!!

It looks like Carrot Styx will be playing at the Oklahoma City Zoo Amphitheatre.

I personally don't have a problem with bands and the venues they play (except a cornfield). If I really like a band, I'll see them play anywhere.

I remember all that talk of Dennis at the Zoo. The thing is, many cities have an ampitheater or outdoor/covered venue that is VERY nice, connected with their zoos. It is quite common in many cities but the act is listed as playing at such-and-such zoo, when it is actually a nice performance arena.

I guess people thought Dennis would be backed up by the monkey cages or seal pool or some such.

Though I feel like Neo-Styx would be well-placed in a monkey cage, I am sure the venue is quite nice and they will have a big, enthusiastic crowd to cheer them on in Oklahoma City.

Hey everybody.. I will be at the zoo show BUT I did read in the paper that Styx will be playing only an abbreviated set because the zoo staff needs to make sure that there is plenty of time for the puppet show.

I heard they'll be dedicating a few of the songs on their setlist to some of the animals.

The Grand Illusion will be dedicated to the Chameleons..........

Snowblind will go out to the Polar Bears...

and

Light up will be dedicated to the Fireflies in the Inscect exhibit !

Babe will be dedicated to the pigs. Pigs, pigs at the zoo?! No!, only in movies.....

Kiss Your Ass Goodbye will be dedicated to the Red Bottom monkeys...

Come Sail Away will be the encore. If you found the ticket in the cd you will be allowed to swim in the aquarium.

...and as an added bonus BOTH audience members get to go to the meet and greet!

Styx is recording some bluesy stuff right?
Next tour will be a club tour to ostensibly "get back to the people" however the truth will be because that is all they will be able to book...

I believe the topic was called"Mooooo, Naaaaay, EEE EEE EEE, Dennis at the Milwaukee County Zoo"..I also recall somebody making fun of Dennis performing at the Taste Of Chicago..That's when all those stupid Arbys jokes surfaced...
