Dear John

Friday, July 16th will mark the 8th anniversary of the passing of John Panozzo. Regardless of how you feel about the current lineup, show your support of John and what he gave to the music of the band. If you have the opportunity, leave Chuck your best memories of John and what he meant to you and the band.

I hope you can put your differences about the band aside on this one.

Band politics aside, it should have no bearing on this. John's passing was sad and he should be remembered for what he gave the world.

Music Time, Your Avatar makes me motion sick after about 5 seconds......

Also, as far as I know John was neutral on all of the Band politics....at least from everything I've heard......his name seldom if ever comes up amongst all the bickering and trading of insults, so the politics are irrelevant.

It truly is a tragedy we lost him and his talent at such an early age.

More like, Oh Great, First Roseanne Barr does the National Anthem, now this.....

It seems to me John didn't mind what style of music the band performed judging by the Caught In the Act Video...I noticed him singing along to the words of Don't Let It End and his energy during the video and the good time he was having during Come Sail Away...

John was a true talent at what he did and we as Styx fans miss him to this day...

I'll still never forget John's performance in the Music Time video.... even though the song wasn't the best, I maintain this was likely Styx' best video because it showcased the sense of humor of all the guys in the band.... and at a time when DDY, JY and TS were all at eachother's throats, it was good to see at least DDY and JY able to have some fun with it.

As a side note, I heard that the cameo by TS in that video was required by their contract and Styx would have been sued without it. Anyone confirm this?
