While reading the Larry Info topic, I became curious about who's seen Gowan in person and who hasn't (meaning at a Styx show, not a CD or DVD performance, and not secondhand information from someone who has). So if you care to weigh in and/or add any details, have at it! (BTW, not my intention to start another Dennis vs. Larry topic). I'd also be interested in which songs you've heard him sing.

I'll go first:

Yogi, that is an impressive number. You got my curiosity up, however.

How many times have you seen Styx with Dennis perform? In fact, if any of you feel up to it, and it has probably been done before on this Styx message board, but it would be cool to read who has seen not only Styx with Larry but Styx with Dennis or both. You are not required to do a compare and contrast, however, and there will be no quiz on this later.

Ive seen "Classic Styx" 8 times. I saw the orginal Main Event Tour, Paradise Theatre 3 times, Kilroy 3 times, 1997 Grand Illusion tour. I also saw the rendition without Tommy, and with Glen 'Edge Of The Century Tour' in 1991(GREAT show!!). Ive seen Damn Yankees once, Tommy twice solo Girls With Guns Tour, and Dennis solo with orchestra. NEVER once did I go home feeling ripped off. ALL renditions of Styx put on 'CLASSIC' shows.

I am so jealous. Unfortunately, I didn't get into Styx until the mid to late 80s. The only chance I got to see the classic lineup (sans John) was during RTP in 1996. I had a chance to see them during EOTC, but I had bought that album and didn't care for it much. I passed on seeing them, thinking the setlist would consist only of Edge, DDY, and JY tunes (not realizing in my ignorance that Glen would sing some of Tommy's songs).

I wasn't able to go to any Styx shows until after the 1980's. I started with 1996 too.

I missed them in 78 since they sold out too quickly. My first show was 4/3/81 for Paradise Theater. I also saw Kilroy(83), 91(twice) 96, 97, 99, 00, 03 and 04
