Pieces of Eight

Postby LordofDaRing » Sat Oct 09, 2004 4:55 am

Just checked out Dennis's site in the Crib section where Suzanne responds to fan mail. Sombebody asked if any material from Pieces of Eight would ever be played at any of his future concerts. She replied that yes by poplular demand, Pieces of Eight (the song) would be added to the set list! Yes, there is a god. What a song to do with the orchestra live! Now if he would just add Born for Adventure, This Old Man...well gotta crawl before you can walk. Does this little piece of news add a little bit more to a potential Dennis concert for anybody?

I love the fact that "Pieces of Eight" will be added to his setlist. What a great companion piece to "Castle Walls"! I, for one, would love to see him play this as well, but just to hear this great song in concert is enough.

Mind you, I don't need any incentive to go see him live!

If Dennis plays my town, I will see te show largely in part to wanting to see P.O.E. the song done with the Orchestra.

I'd like to see/hear what Father O.S.A. would sound like in the house he would play here....which just happens to have an awe-inspiring Pipe organ available.....add that, and a Choir, and that would send chills down your spine live !

The Choir could also back him on Goodbye to Roseland, and what the hell, on the chorus in Lady too......

I hope Dennis will continue to adjust his setlist.....P.O.E. will be a great addition....If he comes back to my area, I will go again....

Song Ideas;

Born For Adventure
I'm O.K.
Queen Of Spades
Goodbye Roseland
Why Me
This Old Man
Father O.S.A.

Speaking of letters of the Crib...There was one letter where the guy wrote that he was the one that shouted "You Are STYX" at Dennis... Dennis bowed in gratitude.... And when he straightened up, he replied "Thanks, Uncle Bob"....

The way it was described, I just had to laugh.... :lol:
