THERE'S SOME pretty scary live music in Atlanta this week, perhaps none more frightening than Styx --- which has jut two members from its heyday. What really makes this a fright fest is that the band's only memorable music since the '70s is the memorably horrific "Mr. Roboto." Eric Cartman's heartfelt rendition of "Come Sail Away" is totally better than this. $5. 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Centennial Olympic Park.

Wow, he slams the current band and then takes a shot at DeYoung's songwriting (Roboto). I'm surprised he didn't bother to trample on John Panozzo's grave while he was at it.

I'm sure that all of ol'Shane's favorite music will be fondly remembered in 20 years as Rock and Roll classics.

Well,if I was Shane and my favorite music was hatched from American idol,,,sure Styx sounds awful.
If I was froy and I lived so much in the past and could not move on and
just get on with it, I would agree too.
If Styx played at the local ground fair for $5 (CN$7,25) I would go.
Maybe I am just a sucker,but at least I am a happy sucker.
Maybe Styx is just giving the average blue collar family w/ kids a chance to go to a rock concert.Bad bad Styx.

By the way,Glen's 'Welcome to Hollywood " got 4 out of 5* in a fine British mag "Classic Rock' last month.

Well, I saw Styx live in Knoxville in November 2001 and I really enjoyed the show. Of course that was about 3500 shows ago (exaggerated on purpose)!

I would have liked to seen Dennis perform with them, but life goes on I guess. Also, for what its worth, all bands from this era routinely get crappy reviews, especially in my area of the states. So, for me its pretty hard to take any review of a show I might attend with anything but a grain of salt. Hope all that makes sense!

Its not a crappy "Review" , It's a crappy "PRE-view", the concert hadn't even happened yet.
