Nothing to see here.....this is part of the same story joe wrote about in same paper on same day. Part of a 2 page spread on the whole royalties story.

There was a third story done at same time as well......don't forget that tomorrow in your thinly veil attempts to rip Jim again.

Here did your work for you:

From the article (emphasis added): "I picked up my white Les Paul and started doing these 16th notes: digga digga digga. We marched into the music room with that digga digga digga."

Thank God, he wasn't writing a rap song.

Please explain to me how this article is an attempt to rip JP? I don't see it. And by the way if I want to rip someone it's not going to be veiled. I'll come out and do it. When did you become so friggin' sensitive to all things Peterik?

Nonsense. You can find many many places on this bb where I have been critical of Sullivan. You are letting your unbridled love of all things Peterik get in the way of the facts. I'm still waiting for any place on this board where you have used any objectivity when discussing JP.

You wanna hear me talk about Jim and some of my personal feelings......call Joe Vana and ask him about it. If you have his number that is, Joe and I have had a conversation about my feelings about Jim and what he does. In fact go back to the thread joe started about this whole subject and read what I said about it. I don't agree with everything Jim does, never have, but I can honestly say that he has NEVER fucked the fans quite like sullivan has with bullshit lies and stories. Never once have I heard or read of Jim ever speaking bad about frankie to anyone in person or in print......can you say that about your man crush.
And as for wit and intellegence....I'll take the truth any day over both, but I do in fact have both.

I will say, not to break Axe's confidence that he even was reprimanded once for a critical comment about JP....

I think there are some valid points being posted, and blind loyalty as well...but...we all have the SAME soapbox on here...so sling away...

Hey Joe.....LOL I'd actually forgotten about that. How funny is it since we only talked about it less than 2 weeks ago. Guess the reason i forgot is the old saying....."Consider the source" and believe me the source of that comment is worth forgetting, not too mention extremely easy...

I was thinking about that the other day. That Sullivan seems to take every opportunity that he can to speak badly about Peterik, (Even if he doesn't always use Peterik's name) and I never read anything where Peterik is speaking poorly of Sullivan. Peterik said nothing but good things about Sullivan in the liner notes of the Rock Candy remasters. Peterik also spoke well of Droubay and Ron Nevison.

Seriously, Slander what Axecrew posted was funny
He is dinging you on a typically passive/agressive swipe at Peterik in which you used the words "yet one more time" which is tantamount to a verbal eyeroll.

I believe we'd be less inclined to lampoon you for this pussified kind of behavior if you were AGRESSIVE agressive with it rather than passive/agressive followed by denials of it and spouting about being objective because you criticize Frankie. Your criticisms of Sullivan amount to basically writing him warnings for jaywalking on his way out of a bank with bags of money after a holdup.
Meanwhile you ding JP and Jamison for every little thing they do.
I get a kick out of it Slander but we weren't all born yesterday.
We've had you clocked for a while on here.

Edited 5 times for harshness.

Nonsense. I have also praised JP and JJ on many occasions, and have made it clear that I DONT think they were the force behind Survivor. It was a combination of FS/JP. Plain and simple. Thanks for making my point RED. I've never dealt with people who have such tender sensibilities or who care so much about minutia. I can't believe you waste so much time reading into everything posted.

Typical Slander Frankie hard-hitting "criticism:" Frankie is the heart and soul of the band, he created everything great they ever did, is the only honest member of the band, I just wish he would give us more great new music even if he IS the greatest player and songwriter to pick up an instrument and JP is making cheesy videos and Jamison is serving drinks.

Red what is ridiculous is that I can't even make one positive comment on this board about Sullivan without bullshit. A little objectivity would be great from time to time. There is never any objectivity when it comes to talking about JP and JJ. None. Wait, I do recall axe wishing that JP spend less time on Jazz and more time on Rock. Something to that effect.-Wow hard-hitting!

All Axecrew and I pointed out was the way you framed this post was a typical negative veiled slap at JP which is fine but you are proving my ongoing point now by lying about that. Stand by it, you don't like JP because Frankie considers him an enemy and stop pretending to be impartial and you won't look foolish.

Like I said, if I make a negative comment it's NOT going to be veiled. When I used the word "yet" it was in reference to the fact that this story has been told many times. Am I wrong here? Damn, the only reason I post the links on this board is to keep in moving in light of lack of other news or general discussion.

All slander did was post an article that he thought we might be interested in reading as Survivor fans. Is all this venom really necessary? Really? I honestly wonder why so many fights break out on Journey and Survivor 'fan' boards like they do. Sheesh...

Thanks for posting it, Slander. Some of us don't get or follow local news outside our own areas so this is the only place we find out about articles on the guys, whether the articles are good, bad, interesting or boring.

Let's get one thing straight here. I own all POL albums and Sunstorm because JP wrote songs for it. I have Crossroads Moments. I respect JP and JJ's talents immensely but don't think they walk on water. Why must I kiss their ass to be part of this board? If you are going to pinpoint every FS fault, I think it is worth pointing out that your hero's are not perfect. JP, while a great songwriter borders on camp at times. What is wrong with pointing that out? What is wrong with believing that FS is not responsible for JJ's money problems? I'm sorry but I do believe that FS is the sound of Survivor. It's just a difference of opinion.

If that is the case, you must believe that Reach is the sound of Survivor and surely there is no way you believe that...

And even worse, no way you or anyone thinks this McSurvivor Quite Riot reunion tour is anything even close to what was born in Chicago in the late '70's...

IMO...you could have two Frankies, three Jim Peteriks, two Marc Doubray's and four miniture Stephen Ellis' playing, (Hell, Kim Basinger can even be on the cover naked) and as long as McAuley is murdering the tunes, IT AIN'T SURVIVOR!

No I don't. I thought there was some fine music on Reach though. Very Survivor-like. Did it sound like the 80's? No. It sounded like a more mature updated Survior. At least the damn album wasn't lathered in unnecessary keyboards. Many praised REACH when it came out but after JJ was replaced everyone began hating on it! I for one, thought the album was inconsistent. Does POL sound like Survivor? Hell no-closer to Meat Loaf if you ask me. JJ's solo effort was closer but still had those "cheese" moments that I don't like to associate with Survivor. True Survivor will always be Tiger, Premonition, and CITG-That sound to me was always their intention. I know you are a fan of the beret, so I doubt you could picture Dave singing on WSC! Finally, while I know you have great disdain for Robin at least he brings a rock n' roll presence to the band. I appreciate his showmanship.
