Keep promising your fans that you have written it, it is coming out, etc., but only as soon as you are done editing it.

I suspect the "now and tomorrow" section of that would be pretty empty.

Absolutely.
You have great access to Jamo and JP if not Frankie "GiveMeACallIfYouHearAnyRumors,Andrew" Sullivan.

I remember Frankie said he was working on a tell-all Survivor book several years ago. Guess there wasn't much to tell.

If they are on board, I'd guess that Frankie would want to get his two cents in. Sounds pretty cool. Call it 'Broken Promises' :)

Nah, that would be too much effort. He'll just post an angry rant on his site after the book gets released, saying lots of vague stuff about lies, and promising us all that "the truth" will be revealed "soon." Then he'll disappear again.

I completely disagree with you. I think there is a niche market for this kind of stuff. While the story ain't exactly the story of "Anvil", I do see some interesting similarities. Survivor should have been much bigger. Label problems, personality issues. Really a fascinating story of blue collar, lunch pail guys who hit number 1. We can all relate to that kind of story.

Does it have to be a book? I mean if all those are willing to talk, if a book won't work, could it be one hell of a 'rolling stone' type story?

Dennis Keith Johnson and Gary Smith too?

Even though it would be something I would read (as long as it's reasonably price of course), I don't know if it would make sense to do it. Like someone said above, how many people would buy it? I can't see you making money on this and I could actually see you losing money. Even if you make a few pennies on it, would it be worth your time? Before you start, you need to research how much this will cost you to publish this book (I can't see anyone paying to publish, so you'll probably have to go through AuthorHouse or something like that) and any other costs you will incur. Then you have to figure out how much you are going to charge for this book and reasonably estimate how many sales you will have (be conservative). If you think it makes financial sense, go ahead and do it.

how many people have bought the latest Journey book? 1000?

expect about 1/10 for Survivor.

love this band, but even with bickler/jamison, or peterick they still play State Fairs (or County)

If I can't get a publisher intersted, then I'll sit on the idea for now.....but I will investigate and see.

Who published Sterling's "Grand Delusion" book? They might follow suit and do a Survivor book.
