OT- the Miami Dolphins....

Postby ScarabGator » Fri Nov 30, 2007 1:58 pm

Since I am from Florida its obvious my favorite NFL team is Miami, although it doesnt come close to college football. Now, who thinks Miami will win a game this year???? Man, talk about suck. Cam Cameron has to go.

Well, Miami does have the Jets on the schedule this weekend, so it's a great opportunity if they're going to get one! As for Cam Cameron...I don't know whether or not he's the answer, because it's far too early to tell. Miami simply has ZERO talent on their team. Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas are REALLY starting to show their age, and they traded away the only real receiver they had (Chris Chambers). Oh...and they don't have a QB, which is simply a position that you MUST have in the NFL!

The same thing was said about the Dallas Cowboys when Jimmy Johnson took over and went 1-15 his first season. Of course, we know how that team turned out years later (much to my dismay...lol!) Cam's a young guy. I'd give him a couple years, if things don't look like they're improving by year 3, then fire him. This is his rookie coaching season, right?

The Jets are a much better team than what their record indicates.

Yes, but what is on the horizon to make me feel better? At least Jimmy J. had a lot of young talent getting ready to burst....Miami has none......

Well, yeah, they don't have much to bank on right now...offensively. I think it was the plan for Green to mentor whoever would be the future of this team, but honestly, Green should've retired last season. What the Dolphins need is a good draft this upcoming off season. At least they will have a #1 pick (unless they've delt those away already.) I still believe Miami has a good defense, but they to draft a good QB, RB, and a speedy WR. I'm not sold on Ricky Williams either. I think he's back just for the money.

That's actually not a bad idea. Especially how #1 draft picks turn out. The Dolphins' defense is still not that bad, so I'd definitely look at the offense in the draft. The Redskins will take your first rounder and give you two late round picks so we can take Chris Long! That is Howie Long's son and the guy's awesome! Love to have him on my defense!

Well, I can understand Miami getting a proven vet as QB, but only for the reason for grooming a future QB. If Brady Quinn had gotten drafted by the Dolphins, I would've let him ride the pine for about three seasons. The tail of the tape is going to be what the Dolphins do in the draft. If they don't draft well this season, you guys have problems.

Speaking of younger coaches, I betcha Jason Garrett gets a head coaching job next season! You think the Dolphins would be interested?

I used to say that about the Packers when they sucked.

This notion that a team "is much better than what their record indicates" is beyond ABSURD! It's a pussy copout! Beleive me when I tell you...I spent my entire life watching the Red Sox completely embarrass me and the city of Boston (prior to 2004), and never once did I ever make an excuse. I simply said they weren't good enough! There wasn't much else to say. I've watched the Celtics for the past 21 years be the MOST irrelevant team in the NBA, and almost not even be mentioned in the two Boston newspapers, because they flat out sucked! That's life.

As the great Bill Parcells said on numerous occasions, "You are what your record says you are", and I couldn't agree more. The Jets are 2-9, and not only do I not believe they're "better than their record indicates", I think they're worse! Pennington has one of the worst arms I've EVER seen on an NFL QB, in my life! I think my wife could probably throw the ball further down the field! Maybe once the Jets dump "Man-Genius", they can begin to re-build! I can tell you this...As long as Belichick is coaching in New England and Mangini is coaching in NY, the Jets will NEVER, EVER, EVER win the AFC East, or anything else for that matter! Belichick has now made Mangini public enemy number one, and I think it's going to get VERY ugly for Jets fans, EVERY time they have to play the Patriots, whether in Foxboro, or New Jersey!

The reason why Miami is winless is because Coach CamMORON is by the far the worst when it comes to evaluating talent and game management. He has no fire in him whatsoever and the team has taken on his dull personality.

He should have been fired weeks ago. If he is still there next year then Huizinga is more of an idiot than he already is.

Damn it sucks being a DolFan.

That's why I say the true story will be told when we see what the Dolphins do at next year's draft. If they take the road of signing aging free agents as opposed to building their team through the draft, then I hate it for you Dolphin fans for years to come. However, if the 'Fins do decide to fire Cameron, then I wouldn't be surprised if they went after Schottenheimer (ms?) or Jason Garrett.

The hardest thing to stomach is losing SIX games by just 3 points. They COULD be 6-5 just as easily. Frustrating.

I hate Ricky Williams, he has smoked everything away including the reputation of this team.

At this point the team could trade away a few high draft picks for more mid-level picks to build a base. But this team has not had a full team since EARLY in Marino's career...that is why henever got a ring.

Williams is a pussy. Going out before halftime like that for a "shoulder injury"??? Are you fucking kidding me? Do you realize how many people get stepped on playing Football??? Cry me a fucking river. Or better yet...go smoke a joint for me considering that what you went off the field to do anyway.

Ok...rant over.
