Journey in Dublin June 25th

You'd better believe it ...

80's rockers Journey are coming to The National Stadium on 25th June. TICKETS ON SALE FROM FRIDAY 22nd FEBRUARY!

Journey, with Special Guests
Venue: The National Stadium
Date: 25th June
Tickets: €52.80 (ON SALE FROM FRIDAY @ 09.00)

Nearly 30 years after their musical adventure began, legendary rockers Journey are off on their travels again - and they're coming to Dublin on 25th June for a very special gig at the National Stadium.

The band have had something of a resurgence in popularity since their 1981 hit 'Don't Stop Believing' was used for the last-ever moments of The Sopranos last year (a scene parodied by Hilary Clinton in her campaign video, again featuring "Don't Stop Believing"). Since then, "Don't Stop Believing" has established itself as something of a cult hit for the younger generation, charting on the Irish Top 20 single Chart and becoming a bit of a must-play song for both radio and club DJs.

Riding high on this second wave of success, the band are hitting the road with new lead singer Arnel Pineda (the original voice of Journey, Steve Augeri, left in 2006 for medical reasons). Their concert in The National Stadium should be one to remember for life-long Journey lovers and new fans alike.

Tickets for this fantastic concert go on sale this Friday, 22nd February at 09.00 from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.

Yeah, but who are 'Special Guests'? That's a weird name for a band.
Always thought a cool band name would be 'Free Beer'. Just think of the promos.

Well, let's do the math here.

This isn't a one and done see you in the rear view mirror European tour.

This place in Ireland holds 2,080 for music. It's not really a stadium, but an intimate theatre. My guess is they will do Europe, and wisely so, and stay out of the US for two reasons. 1, let Pineda season over there, and 2, the US needs a break from Journey. I would also this rudderless management goes east from Ireland and Europe and does Asia, before it comes back to North America.

I agree they need to warm up Arnel before they hit the US and Europe seems a good place for that along with a few other places (Chile and LV).
However, the Asian tour is not supposed to start earlier than November - I think it'll be the 3rd leg of the 2008 tour.
They start touring the US on the 4th of July.

just my bit of sarcasm here - it seems anytime someone tries to say something complimentary about perry being the Voice of Journey - somewhere somehow, a fan of one of the above will fire off a

"Hey dickhead - What about [fill in the name here] "

maybe they have learned a more peaceful way.

I disagree with you here Deano. Chalfant is a true talent. He doesnt deserve to be grouped away from Rollie and Soto.
