Funny previews, but the reviews have not surprisingly been horrendous. I made the mistake of renting "Epic Movie", and it was one of the worst pieces of garbage I've ever watched. The actually had some cred with the "Scary Movie" films, but "Date Movie" and "Epic Movie" seemed to be hated unanimously.

What this one reviewer pointed out about "Superhero Movie" is that it seems to be en vogue to simply imitate, without putting any effort into being funny. These past few films have been crammed full of up-to-the-minute pop-cultural references, but I guess just the mimickry is supposed to make us laugh? I'm amazed that studios even fund such poorly written stuff. But the previews sure make ya want to check them out!

I'm reminded of the "Married...With Children" episode where it's Super Bowl Sunday and Al has had yet another mishap that has rendered him in a total body cast.

So the family decides to take Al's gambling winnings and goes out shopping, leaving Al and Buck to watch the game alone.

Whereupon Buck sits on the couch and accidentally hits the "change channel" button on the remote.

So instead of kickoff of the Super Bowl...you hear the TV announcer say this:

"And now, in its entirety and uncut, with no commercial breaks...the five hour director's cut of 'Steel Magnolias'!"
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!
