Augeri Interview?

Postby roycap » Sat Oct 28, 2006 3:14 am

Andrew,

Will you be following up with SA on the bands comments? I'd be interested in his side of the story.

What would REALLY be great is if Andrew set it up, via conference call, and let Deano actually do the interview!
With really bad, fake Aussie accent of course :D

Besides being a huge fan of Jeff Scott, I believe Andrew is a huge fan of Steve Augeri.

I sure wish Andrew would do a no holds intrew with Steve.

The one question I would hope Andrew would ask would be how much did the bands leader know about the voice enhancing segment of your last tour??.

Who's idea was it to voice enhance once your voice became fried??

What options were given to you???

Did you ever think you would get caught???

Did it bother you that it was pretty much screwing the bands name and the fans by doing this???

What do you think of the band Journey now????

I would love to hear these questions asked and discussed in detail.

I wish Andrew would do this.

I would also like Andrew to ask Jeff if he would ever voice enhance if asked to do it by Neal or some other higher power.

William Shakespeare - To be, or not to be (from Hamlet 3/1)

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

......................................

Andrew would never touch on the subject with Augeri.

It would be good to hear his side of it, but I don't think we'll ever hear anything from him.

The gag order is probably permanent.

When Steve is ready to talk - especially to promote the Tall Stories release - then I'm ready and waiting and he knows where to find me.

I'll interview Steve at some point I'm sure, but who knows what issues will be available to be discussed. We shall see.

As for the last JSS Q - No. Not ever.

If Steve were wise he'd steal a page out of the playbooks of recent disgraced Congressmen.
Tell us he's an alcoholic gay american or had his naughty-bits diddled by a wayward pastor.

In truth, if he ever hopes to continue his career his best bet is to admit wrongdoing.

Look, replacing Steve Perry is unenviable task.
Explaining that the pressure got to his head would be understandable to almost everyone.

If he should admit to wrongdoing then so should the rest of the guys.

There are 5 people in Journey, and SA wasn't the one with the most control.

Fuck the other guys.
Steve should do whatever he personally wants to do.
As someone sweepingly held as a "good guy" by both fans and insiders, I'd imagine he wishes to come clean with the fans.

Steve & Lydia - cast off your irons and live up to the ethical people ur reputed to be.

Easy to say, but I'd love to see you or anyone else on here in his position (which is reality, no one really knows the truth on how it all went down) and do any different. Let's say for example you get a shot at fronting one of your favorite bands and a few years down the line you have voice problems and the leader of the band tells you ths is what we are going to do. What? you going to go against Neal or the rest of the band for that matter? Fuck no...you will do what you are told too.

Let me play devil's advocate for a minute...

You're all ready to crucify the guy and in reality he may be keeping his mouth shut to keep blame off of where it really belongs -the whole fucking band-. The guy just might deserve our praise for keeping quiet, taking the blame and allowing the Journey to continue. I may be wrong, but unless you can show me proof, please don't waste your typing time telling me that scenario isn't possible.

Folk will think what they want anyway.

Maybe he's better staying quiet.
