Great finds! There are so many that I never knew the group or the song title.
I love The Three Dog Night...in Jr. High art class we had to design an album cover - my friend did Three Dog Night (3 dogs, of course) & I did The Guess Who (with an owl...lol...her's made it in the glass display case, mine didn't)...

Here's another fave of mine:

That's a great one. It seems like that song is used in so many movies about that era.

That one does represent the times...is that Peter Tork from the Monkees introducing? The music then had a lot of different sides going on at this time...there was psychedelic, bubblegum, folk...and they all were popular.

I recognized Peter. He always hated it that he sold out his musical creds to be in the Monkees. So did Mike Nesmith.

Yeah, there were about as many sides then as there are now. We've got the Britney's and the Eminems and the Nickelbacks and the Celine Dions. Image

To be honest, I'd rather have the music from back then. :(

 I touched Tommy once. I saw them in Omaha in 1969. There was a gate keeping fans from the backstage area and some of us were standing there. He came to the gate and I stuck my fingers through the bars. He reached out and touched my fingers. Image I was thrilled.

I was a huge fan of the early Bee Gees. A lot of people don't even know they existed before Saturday Night Fever but they did. Anyway, when this song first came out I thought it was the Bee Gees.

Yeah, there's always been some argument/controversy about the meaning - I don't care, I just like the song!

Here is an interesting tidbit about John Kay...........

"He was born Joachim Fritz Krauledat in 1944 in the section of Germany then known as East Prussia."

What a mouthful that name is!
