My WM excursion was clusterbleep this AM.

Got a brand new super one right near me, I roll in, the shit's not out yet (of COURSE ) had to go up to the desk ask for new releases, get the 1,000-yard-stare.

Come on, man get yer shit together 15 minutes later the guy comes out the back with a new box of Revelations (the prior one they'd put out after midnight had sold).

Me and another dude hipchecked the guy away and grabbed into the box.
Picked up the Dirty Harry remaster on dvd, too :D

The first round had sold out at my WM as well. The guy that dug through the boxes for my copy said his friend lived next to Neal out in CA.

The DVD was blasting from all of the TVs as well.

walmart really needs to get their shit together. managers should be on top of this.

I went to the next town over (thanks walmart for making me use extra gas in my 454 engined suburban) and they had 50 copies atleast there. none at one and overstocked at another. unreal.

still didnt buy anything else, serves them right for making me use extra gas. too bad for them I was gonna spend alot there today too.

watching the dvd now, excellent!!!!!

save the cd's for later when cleaning the house up. :)

Damn, that things gets like 2 gallons to the mile right?

Walmart, as big of a chain as it is, leaves it up to the store manager as to what they stock and also has the authority to change an unadvertised price. They give them a lot of responsibility. So that's why you'll find things at one and not at another.

thats breathing on the gas peddle too. I dont push on the gas. drive like and old man and I can still watch the gas needle go down. :(

man, watching the dvd and AATY came on and I got chills when he started singing. he really feels the music. perry is the last one to make me go wow, this guy really fits in journey like no other. he really sings the music with alot of feeling.

That's the key. I'm no fan of Wal-Mart (Target Rules), but Revelation simply would not be what it is without Wal-Mart. I'll at least give them props for that...

wow, dean is amazing on "mother, father" (one of my fav Journey tunes). I wonder how he would have done as lead singer.

just amazing how great of a job he does on that song.

arnel is the real deal. he really has filled this spot like no other.

If you were at the concert, you'd have heard him sing After The Fall as well, and he killed that too :)

But man, Arnel IMHO, was awesome that evening as the frontman. How would Deen have been able to do that entire show plus play drums? And I'd think that band thought about that and then realized they still needed a true frontman.

The Mother Father clip is one of the best performances I've ever seen from this band post Perry. I think I remember an interview that NS gave that said DC had throat issues and wouldn't be able to sustain the lead singer duties over the long haul. It's a shame really..he has an amazing voice.

man, I'm fuckin pissed off. The Walmart store (Murrieta, CA) that I went to is open 24 hours and does'nt have it on the shelves. When I asked the store clerk, she said that they are still looking in the back and searching all the boxes. Myself and other three people are looking at each other thinking WTF!! I'm gonna end up driving to Lake Elsinore and see if they have it there. :x :(

a shame cause he sounds amazing. I heard ATF and M,F on youtube before but in this quality you really get to hear him and see him.

I also thought I heard arnel sing some of the later Frontiers tracks (which IMO are some of the best Journey) like Rubicon, Frontiers, Edge of the blade, Troubled Child....forget which ones. was this from this same concert dvd ? he sounded great and wish some of those were on the dvd. but I know the hits sell and they have to put mostly hits on it. but those songs rock. someone can tell me which ones he has done. I cant remember but do know he did some and they sounded great.

I'm thrilled Deen's vocals made it on the DVD. He always does an amazing job.

We already have Mother, Father from Houston why couldn't they have replaced that w/ Castronovo's After The Fall, instead? :x It's twice the song that MF is.

No it isnt - Mother Father is one of Journey's greatest moments - and is a massive highlight of the Houston concert.
After The Fall is merely very very good.

At the Walmart in Bismarck, ND they didn't even have them out yet at 10:00 AM. I had to ask, at which point they went in the back and grabbed one out of the box.

I just got mine.

My husband "preordered" online and since it didn't arrive today and I knew that it just wouldn't be right for him to not have it on the day it was released (and to earn a few brownie points with him) I went and got it. The stars must be aligned just right for me today cuz my trip was totally uneventful-I walked right in, found it instantly and was out in less than 5 minutes. To top the day off-after that I took my little girls to Subway and also had an uneventful experience there!

Wal Mart in Delmont PA (about 45min east of Pittsburgh - GO PENS!) had plenty of copies on the shelf, had no marketing, no signs, but did have the DVD playing on all of the approx 35 TV's on the back wall... picked it up and out the door..thankfully no sticky cellophane along the top to try and get off the cd while driving 60mph down the highway.
