John from Boston, I will NEVER ever support you again, and everyone knows I don't reallty mean "fuck you"to Angie, but......

If you cannot say Brett Favre is not top 5 QG, then you are just a sit stirrer.

Guy does it with no surrounding talent, stes records, in a snowy lillte cow tow.

Get a clue J from Boston.

If you even fucking mouth off that Brady is better than Brett you can suck me.

Dean, I can assure you that I have a "clue". I'm not here to badmouth Favre. As I said, I think the guy is the toughest QB to ever play in the NFL. I simply don't think he's a top 5 QB, of all time. You've been on record as saying you hate the NFL and that the NFL sucks. I don't hate the NFL and think it's the greatest sports league ever created! I've had the NFL Sunday Ticket Package, since DirecTV introduced it a million years ago, and watch a shitload of football. I've seen a lot of Green Bay games over the years, because I'm actually a fan of Favre. I simply don't believe he's a top 5 QB, and never will. As I said, a QB's number one job is to not fuck up, and Favre always had this "gunslinger" mentality that costs his team a whole lot of games over the years. That doesn't mean I don't understand that the very same "gunslinger" mentality also won Green Bay a shitload of games, over the years!

Another point I'll make is all of this revisionist history bullshit that Favre didn't have any talent around him! That is the absolute biggest bullshit story I've EVER heard! Just off the top of my head, I know he's thrown the ball to Keith Jackson, Andre Rison, Robert Brooks, Sterling Sharpe, Antonio Freeman, Mark Chmura, Desmond Howard, Donald Driver, and the list goes on and on. The reality is that Sterling Sharpe and Antonio Freeman were as good as any two receivers were, during their time in the NFL! He also played on many defenses that were ranked number one in the entire NFL, during the Reggie White years! Listen, if you love Favre, and think he's the best QB to ever play, more power to you. I don't and never will, and neither will anyone outside of Wisconsin! Just don't come in here and tell me the guy didn't play with anyone, and that he pulled off all of his magic with smoke and mirrors, because it's simply a crock of shit! The reality is that Brett Favre had a shitload of talent around him, for much of his career, and if you're an honest and objective fan of the NFL, there is simply no reason that Green Bay should have won just one Super Bowl during Favre's long, and illustrious career! I certainly know that my eyeballs told me otherwise!

Well, we are going to have to agree to disagree, because I can guarentee you, you are not swaying my opinion on this one...in fact, I've been rather subdued about the whole topic here! :P

I've been bleeding Green and Gold ever since the ice bowl. In fact, my high school colors were Green and Gold. Will miss watching Brett play. He did make the game of football very fun to watch. Must make sure I record the NFL channel on Saturday. They are showing a lot of shows on Brett and Green Bay. Plus, if I remember correctly they are rebroadcasting the came Brett played with the Raiders after his dad died. That's at 7 EST on Saturday night. If anyone is interested.

I only wish and I hope possibly come July (it's been known to happen and with all that has gone on, who could ever say "No it'll bever happen") Brett decides to give it one more year. He looked tired and worn out from thinking and debating since the NFC Championship game yesterday in his conference.....Here's to you Brett!!!! Awesome 17 year career..... :D :D

Top 5 in my generation.....
Montana
Bradshaw
Farve
Brady
Pasterini (no just kidding) Luv Ya Blue!!!!
Marino

Jesus...You almost gave me a heart attack with Dan Pastorini (until I saw the just kidding reference). That guy was DREADFUL! Dude played 11 seasons and NEVER once had more TD's than he had INT's! Simply UGLY numbers! Bradshaw is an interesting one. Never had the great numbers, but certainly can't argue with the championships he won. I'd still rank John Elway ahead of Bradshaw. He has one fewer ring, but FAR better numbers, and didn't play with anywhere near the number of hall of fame players that Bradshaw played with! I think your list is solid, minus Favre. I would absolutely put Peyton Manning on any list, ahead of Favre. Manning has won just as many championships as Favre and will surpass EVERY record (except the interception record) that Favre currently owns, before he retires! In terms of tough QB's who were a blast to watch, I'd rank Favre number one, and nobody else even a close second!

As a kid I remember the Oilers getting crushed by the Steelers in many, many games. I think they broke Pasterini's ribs two or three times for real. I may have to look it up. I know they smacked Earl Cambell up a few times two with rib injuries too..... Poor dude walks with TWO canes now days due to bad knees.....Bettis will be the same in 10 years....

Elway is on my bubble. I like him. He hs two solid rings. Great runner and was able to scramble with the best of them. Alot like Ben. It's a tough decade of QB's....Don't forget Montana came 4 miles from where I live and Marino about 6!!!! This area is known for some great QB's.

Either way John, I bleed Blue and Red, we got screwed this year in the SB. I still can't believe we lost. God!!!!
