John, I am going to have to collect cans for extra bucks, because I am seeing Bruce two weeks later and BA as well. But, yea, I will be there to pound tons of alcohol.

Hmmm...Journey in Cali with Roxx and Deano or Augeri and the Wigglers in Chicago????? On a serious note, I really do want to see Steve perform again. Hopefully, there are additional Cali dates and I can do Augeri in July and Journey before or after in Cali. 8) But if I have to choose between the two, someone please tell Steve I said hello!!!  :P

Seriously, you won't see Lula hopping a bird to go see Augeri. I can promise you that much. She spent 20 Ger on his taped tour. She has had enough of that shit.

STJ, Roxx is one cool motherfucker. I used to hammer his ass for really no reason, but have come to respect and appreciate him. I dig him.

Jon, you or I going to Lowe's for the beer bong?

I would pay that in a heartbeat if JSS would tour locally. :)

I'd not only pay it, I'd make every show west of the Rockies! :D

No, I'm not going to see Journey(using term loosely).

Deb's coming to Cali as soon as we have shows to plan on! Can't wait! I'd pay $88 + fees to see JSS with or without Journey. I would fly to NY, TX and/or Florida, if JSS plays there on a weekend instead of midweek, too. :D :P

If there are no other convenient Cali dates I'll be there for this one 100%. I can see it now. The three of us doing beer bongs before the show. Dean, the fucking way you drink beer why do you even need a bong? You're like a fucking bathtub drain, dude.

Dan, Lula and I just confirmed we are staying in a hotel in Irvine that night. We will leave Wyatt at his aunts(first night away from us), so you have free room dude. Roxxy will pick up a keg, and meet us there. He doesn't know it yet, but he will.

I saw that and don't think I didn't think about it. If it wasn't a few weeks after a planned Vegas trip and the opposite end of the continent.....it might have been do-able. :(

Going to hold out for any Cali shows (or dare I say....even Canada)! But, any video, pics, review would be muchly appreciated. Enjoy those soulful vocals! :)

Keep me/us posted. That fucker has a lot of fans here...even though we haven't always acted like it. I might get drunk, don some tight ass leather pants, and wiggle my way into the show. How do you think a "Hello, my name is Saint John" nametag would go over with the Wigglers?  :P

You might want to wear a helmet along with that nametag and leather pants......for when we start pelting you with our beer bottles!!! :D

Not looking good.....already have Vegas in May and now that Boston w/Michael Sweet is probably coming.......Boston w/Sweet wins out of Journey w/Pineda, sorry. Besides that is the Calgary Stampede week (see "Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth" ) can't leave town that week. A week of debauchery, cowgirls, cowboys, liquid lunches, etc......can wear jeans to the office and nobody works! Can't take holidays that week.

LOL, saying that.........if JSS or EM happen to book a Cali show that week.......disregard the above.

Indy, probably second half of the year some time. :)

Ah, memories. You're right, Deb - I always thought it was a waste of good holiday time to take vacation during Stampede Week - except I did it one year, got a temp job as a bartender and made a killing in 10 days! Lots of money and drunken fools willing to throw it away floating around Calgary that week

I bet you did, with all the oil & gas $$ floating around. How long ago did you live here?

Moved away just over 5 years ago, biggest mistake we ever made. We are looking to come back this year if jobs work out - could never buy the house we left behind but at least prices are a little more affordable than they were last year (plus ours here has doubled in value also so it may be do-able). I just need to get back to civilization - definitely not a small town girl!

would gladly pay to see SA solo or with tall stories. It is not about the price or the money. I would rather spend the money on someone that genuinely cares and appreciates his fans and what the music and songs mean to them than this latest
incarnation of so called "brothers" who do not care or appreciate their fans and what they think or feel let alone
what their music means to the fans.

The ticket price for Augeri, Soto, and Eric Martin wouldn't even sniff $85. There just aren't as many whackos per capita as there are on this board.   :P

Lula girl.....skip that horrendous CA traffic and come to Chicago!!

JTTC is having an event on the 19th of July (date is tenative....90% sure but not absolutely set in stone). Steve Augeri is going to be performing!!!

I also hear....(almost from the horse's mouth) that Tall Stories is going to have some NY dates this year too before Firefest.

This just made me wonder, is the Journey Past and Present Group still organizing annual events? I last remember something tied into the HWOF Ceremony
"In Journey, all the hit songs we had were based around Steve Perry's vocals."

To clarify what Kelly has posted:

Journey to the Cure is a non profit organization that raises money for breast cancer research, awareness programs, comfort programs for patients and their families and support programs for families. We are planning our first ever "formal" event called the Sparkle Tie Summer Ball. The tentative date is Saturday, July 19th and looks like it will be held at The Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Kevin Chalfant and band will be performing, Steve Augeri will be performing, as well as 1-2 other singers yet to be arranged and a comedian or two. It is a dressy affair, with gourmet sit down dinner, silent auction and entertainment.

The purpose of the evening is to raise money for our programs. Steve Augeri has been a HUGE supporter of our cause over the years and has graciously agreed to perform. He is one of the most generous, giving people I have ever known and our organization is tremendously fortunate to have him be a part of our first ever Summer Ball.

If anyone you know of is interested in supporting our cause, they can email me at drarrival@comcast.net for a formal invitation to the event. If you want to see some of what we do, visit our website at www.journeytothecure.com

THANKS, Val

That is not the part I am questioning. Lula said she never said anything "disparaging" about Augeri and I apologized to her, also saying that I make the mistake of taking things Deano says on behalf of her and attributing them to her and that is wrong of me. Maybe I can make myself more clear by asking: If Deano says the above, is it true Lula REALLY feels that way. I don't want to make the wrong assumptions about someone's intentions.

Dr Val, no worries... I knew what you were referring to.

Lula can speak for herself, but I can tell you she has spent enough on Journey. I don't believe she will spend another dime on them.

PS- You can bet your sweet ass I will be there. Seeing JT get all red faced is worth the price of a ticket. Love fucking with that little elf.
