So has Neal really invited Steve Perry to join them on the tour to share vocals with Steve Augeri? Does anyone actually think this would ever happen?

He has invited Perry. There was a clip on Extra from the WOF Ceremony where Neal says something like 'maybe we can even get him (Perry) out there'.

I think Perry has made it clear that this will not happen.
