Any more news on distribution? Will there be a way to buy it without having to buy a ticket to the concert?

The Frontiers release is only for Europe distribution.

Frontiers is also releasing (In Europe) Styx's new Big Bang Theory .

Styx is on New Door/UMI records in the states. I wonder if Journey may find themselves over there before too long.

Generations! Odd title. Young and Old? I don't get it. What idea are they trying to get across. Makes me think of old people and a newer generation
Is that a good idea?

They need to get a label, that will get their music out there. Fronters is good over seas, but can't get in a store around here. Online isn't cheap thru them either.-ERIC

No, they don't. Journey has been playing the "greatest hits" tour for the past decade. Plus, their newer material is horrible. Meanwhile, newer bands such as The Killers are what today's music fans want to hear.

Geezers would be a much better Journey album name than the self-serving, "Generations."

I enjoy the Killers CD but they don't compare to Journey live.

Dave, have you seen The Killers live? I haven't yet, but I will. They are on fire in 2005. Plus, they will be playing in Europe unlike Journey.

I'm not interested in Journey's greatest hits tour again. I really do feel bad for the Journey fans that are going to get all excited about this album , and then they are to be crushed when the album stinks.

Generations doesn't sound like a great album title to me. Instead, the name sounds rather wimpy to me.

Why would it stink? Tall Stories (written mainly by Augeri) was fantastic. 'Arrival' was fantastic and even if you didn't like the two non-conventional rock tracks from Red 13, the two leftover Arrival outakes were both pretty good.

Yeah, because Journey's album titles really have a precedent for being damn tough sounding, right?
Have you lost your mind?
Look at some of these titles:

Raised on Radio,
Frontiers,
Departure,
Infinity,
Evolution,
Arrival

"Generations" fits right in.
To say anything else would be a bold faced lie.

Yea, the Journey cd is gonna stink, only if your a Steve Perry fan that sees the bad as dead, instead how they really are, Alive and Kicking, and sounding better than ever!-ERIC

I have seen them on several live shows. But I have not seen an actual concert. They were just on Leno last night and sounded better...but they need a few years (which is about all they will get) to improve their stage work. The Killers might get a 2nd CD to hit, but I doubt it. No staying power.

And I know why you enjoy them so much...they are pretty much a Duran Duran rip-off! Duran Duran were so much better, but the Killers are enjoyable!

Alive and Kicking...now...that's a great title!

Generations??? What were they thinking?

There is nothing "wrong" with Generations, there just isn't much "right" about it either. It is not going to stop me from buying the CD. And I doubt it will hinder anyone else who is interested. I don't think I have EVER not bought a CD based on it's title. It is about the music...

Yeah, because "For the Love of Strange Medicine" rolls right off the tongue and was just so marketable and catchy.

I swear, you guys will bitch at absolutely ANYTHING. :x

What little is known of this album (and has been officially released by the band) has thus far been torn apart by the rancorous Perryheads who inexplicable loiter here. It was announced that there are multiple lead singers on this album, and the Perryheads bashed that, and now they are pathetically bashing the only other thing known about the album; the title.

These people make me sick!

"Generations" is a GREAT Journey-album title, perfectly congruous with the other one-word titles of albums prior.

Andrew will u please ban these partisan ideaological fuckers once and for all? Enough!

Tall Stories was not a good album unless you are a current Journey fanatic. Arrival should not have arrived at all, Red 13 put Journey in the Red.

I never compared The Killers to Duran Duran. Why do you? Duran Duran was cutting edge with the type of instruments and sounds that were being used when they first formed.

Noblecause, that might work on Back Talk, but it isn't going to work here. You have a history of trying to get people ban that disagree with you on several message boards. Meanwhile, I'm discussing Journey without resorting to swearing or personal attacks. I really do not like the album title "Generations" because it sounds wimpy to me. My dislike for the title has nothing to do with Steve Perry. Finally, I am predicting the album will stink. Yet, if the album is great, I will be happy for their remaining 10,000 fans.

Coming from the same guy that created a petition (sent to over a 1000 people) to get me thrown off AOL last year?

TNC, you know why the Perryheads constantly make fun of the new Journey? JEALOUSY, plain and simple. The only reason they liked Journey before was because of Perry, and they are shocked and appaled that Journey could continue without him, much the same way Perry himself is shocked and appalled. They need to realize Journey is a BAND - that's it. A singer left. They got a new one who is a great choice. No, he is not as good as Perry, but who is? He is his own man and brings a lot to the table. He is a good person, a talented singer and deserves to be given a chance to make his mark in Journey.

Hey, HOTS, JT, PF, etc... have you heard the name of the new Perry CD? It's gonna be called NON-EXISTANT.

Steve Augeri is not a good singer and that's one of Journey's problems.

You have to admit that Generations is such a wimpy name for an album.
