Kinda like they took Separate Ways, World Gone Wild put them in a blender - tasted it - and then slowed it down a tad and added some cool stuff.
1) Love the little geetar solo in it
2) Augeri sang it strong and hard...sounded more like Perry than ever at
some points. Only heard him this strong before on Kiss me Softly and
The Time.
3) Suprisingly, this sounds more like Classic Journey than I thought it
would based on early descriptions from various people.
4) It did NOT give me goosebumps as "Higher Place did the first time I
heard it, however, I am excited.

Shit! What's not to like? I like this sound, and it is strong.
My only bitch about it..and I haven't heard the entire thing..I love the sound of Schons' axe..more melodic, like Ask the Lonely and Seperate Ways..but in this tune, it's too short! I love the sound however.
NealisGod- Thanks for looking after me bro...I am still trying to get that live Budakon for you.. I am still trying!
This rules!

Sounds great...the song really has a good up beat and the production values are good too. Very clean sounding! Finally, some Steve vocals that are right up front!! Reminiscent of "Ask The Lonely" in places. Glad to hear Neal play really melodic solos again. Live, he has been shredding a lot more, now it sounds like it is more about FEELING!

So, NC, JRNY28, Eric, NealisGod, and Yak.....
How long until the "girls" come in here and find that "something" just isn't right? "Augeri" just can't seem to "bring it." Or Neal is hogging the spotlight?
If you record it, "they" will criticize it."

heardonthestreet unintelligently uttered this:
Generations will definately, NOT rock. You heard it first, Here!
See? Told you!

Anybody catch all the words? Can't quite make them all out. Do like what I hear, though

The way the song starts so abruptly reminds me of Chain Reaction. The chords Neal plays reminds me of Ask the Lonely. Augeri sounds the best that I have ever heard him. It is such magic when Neal and Jon write a song together. I know it is early, but I like this song better than anything on Arrival already, and MUCH better than anything on Trial By Fire (except MAYBE Message of Love).
Andrew, any idea if this will be the first single?

They won't get the song. No one is going to send it to them, because none of them really care.
Once the clips are readily available for anyone to click on, then we might here from them.
I look forward to hearing what they have to say though...as long as they can honestly critique it. Not just give some BS excuse like "It would be better if it was Perry"...

A listen or two and the extremely catchy chorus is already bouncing around the walls of my head.
Certainly not enough for me to make any sort of definative opinion on the album as a whole (or even this song as a whole, really), but from what I have heard so far, I am very optimistic.
This sounds GREAT!!!
Only Andrew knows for sure if the rest of the album lives up to the small taste we've been graciously afforded here.

Yeah, upon further listening I hear alot of elements that are reminiscent of external musical influences (be they intentional or not).
Chain Reaction in the songs initial abruptness,
Survivor/Eye of the Tiger in its beat.
I even hear a little Separate Ways thrown in there, too.
As the song progresses it seems to develop a more distinctive identity of its own though. The chorus is very original and VERY catchy. I'm diggin it.
Especially love the little "woo ooos" from Jon and the guys.

I love this song clip! It sounds great, Steve sounds great, the lyrics are great AND clear (ace, did you have some trouble deciphering the words?) They were clear to me. Ruby is right, it cuts off just when you want to hear MORE! This song rocks; it's Journey to the nth degree. Can't wait to hear the whole album.
A definite "new" Journey has arrived! And it rocks!

I did and still do have trouble figuring out the first lyrics. Do you know what they are? Please post them

Just listened to the sample. Loved the tempo, production and the little guitar solo, wich I think is a prelude to the real solo. Didn't think Augeri sounded much like Perry here. Don't get me wrong, love the song and I'm gonna buy the cd but those hoping for a Perryish sound on this cd will be let down from what I just heard on this sample.

Thanks, ACE! Just heard it for the first time!
This sounds really fantastic. It has all the elements that make melodic rock GREAT! It rocks! Steve sounds great... the vocals are punchy and upfront... they are THERE with you. Neal's guitar sounds FAT... and his lead sound was definitely singing. The drums and bass are mixed just nicely.. they are propelling the song with urgency just the way they should be. I cant WAIT until this is out!

Here's what I'm hearing:
Lost in a feelin'
And this distance between us
I start believin'
These days we're drifting apart
We lead separate lives
Separately missing each other
It's time that we face the lie
We can't go on pretending this way

Not hardly!
Look Deano! I promised to give an opinion and I did. I highly doubt that some of you will state how you really merit this song. Any little crumb is going to make some of you go OOOOOhhhh and AAAHHHH at this point as you want something, anything, new from the band but I can afford to be objective and honest.
It's just more of Arrival music and the vocalist has to strain to be heard, as per usual. He ends flat at times but I could be wrong. I'm not Jesus Christ!
