Just saw it and got it on the DVR Perry on the field singing a line of DSB
He was on the field and was acting like one of the players.
He looked like he won the World Series.
He held the note Woo OOOH OOH OOOOOOO very easy.
Cool 5 min news clip .
If anyone has the sattelite kick over to WGN news see if they replay it,

I'm sure it will be replayed and replayed and replayed. It's probably going to be all over MTV, VH1 Classic, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and he'll probably be a guest on Oprah soon!!

Believe me, it will be on again!!

Perfect publicity for his "comeback" 8)

Oh I hope they play it on something SMB. I can't get WGN. I'm watching ESPN now(something I never do)in hopes of getting a look at him on the field with the team. I haven't seen it yet. (Yes guys, I'm in full "Perryloon" mode right now,)

I don't think there's going to be a comeback though. He's just having a great time right now.

That's cool. When they are all singing in the locker room it sounds like that Family Guy karaoke episode! Steve seems to really be having a great time. Good to see.

Thanks PF and SMB. How much better could you expect an impromtu snippet in a locker room to sound? I don't think there's anything wrong with "the Voice" at all. I REALLY want to see that parade.

It's always possible!! Life's too short, if this is something you would REALLY REALLY want to go to, then go!! (I know, easier said than done- right Sadie?) LOL

It's only about 13 hours each way driving. Road trips are fun (LOL)

Live each day like it's your last. That's my motto!! :)

As much as I'd love it, I'm afraid it would end up not being worth the hassle it would cause around here.

Here's the WGN link, but it doesn't play as well for me as the other one did.

You Suite, are anything but boring. Lucy and Ethel here will do our best to celebrate for you OhSherrie.

As for the parade...mayor's office to announce this afternoon. Right now looks like it will be Monday with the team and their families doing a motorcade from US Cell to Grant Park for the rally. Sadly...I'm an adult and need to work...sigh :(

I'm glad to see the old boy having fun, but c'mon, does anyone seriously think this resolves anything?
Perry practically hummed his way through the verse.
Get real.

An update on the parade. It's tomorrow. Read on if you wish. No word on Mr. Perry attending as yet.

Sox victory parade set for Friday

By Gary Washburn
Tribune staff reporter
Published October 27, 2005, 2:23 PM CDT

Concerned that many White Sox players may not stick around the weekend for a proposed victory celebration next week, city officials this afternoon said they have moved up the celebration to midday Friday.

Mayor Richard Daley announced the latest plans at a news conference on an unrelated subject at Orr Community Academy High School. More details were to be disclosed at a news conference later this afternoon.

The celebration will begin sometime Friday morning at U.S. Cellular Field at 35th Street and Shields Avenue on the city's South Side, Daley said.

A motorcade carrying players, families and front-office staff of the White Sox will leave from the ballpark. It will wend its way through a number of neighborhoods, including Pilsen, Bridgeport and Chinatown, before ending up in front of the Board of Trade Building at LaSalle and Jackson Streets in the Loop.

There the motorcade will re-form as part of a parade that will head north on LaSalle to Wacker Drive and the Chicago River at the north end of downtown.

There, a victory rally will take place. The event is tentatively scheduled for 11:30 a.m. or noon.

City officials originally planned to hold the event Monday at the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park, but learned many Sox players were eager—now that they had wrapped up the World Series in a four-game sweep—to go home to their families.

So, it was uncertain how many Sox would still be around town Monday to take part in the festivities. Also, city crews needed to get Petrillo ready for the event and could not do so by Friday. So, it was moved to LaSalle and Wacker.

The intersection will be closed for the rally, and officials said they were preparing for crowds to extend south along LaSalle.

It was still being worked out early this afternoon exactly how many streets would be closed and what traffic measures would be put in place. Those and other details were to be announced at a City Hall news conference scheduled for this afternoon.

I’m not sure which channel I saw this on but I think it was NBC 5 in Chicago. The reporter was talking with Steve after he sang a few lines of DSB and he said that this White Sox experience has changed the way he feels about some things and that it has done him a lot of good. He said he feels like he would like to start singing again.
