I'd ask him if the ground hog's timing is a little off for his yearly appearance.

Yes, it's the character from "Primal Fear"

Defense attorney-turned-district attorney Martin Vail comes to regret having saved a murderer, Aaron Stampler, from the death penalty; Stampler wasn't suffering from multiple personality disorder but was merely a vicious killer who has many more scores to settle. When Stampler proves smart enough to convince an egotistical psychiatrist that he is now sane and can return to society, Vail has to out-think him to save not only his own life but the lives of everyone who contributed to the killer's ten years in a mental institution. The action is gripping, and the characters are well drawn. Buy for suspense collections and for Diehl's established fans.

That movie...Edward Norton...wow! Intense portrayal. He still chills me with that one.

Yeah, me too. That's the first movie I saw him in and he played such a good psychopath that no matter what else he plays I still see him that way.

I liked him a great deal in American History X. Both movies he was nominated for...and I can see why.

Sorry...back to the thread. Back to asking Steve Perry...

What is wrong with this? This gives you and TNC the chance to shower him with accolades and then go in for the kill with the questions we REALLY want answers to....not that he will answer those, but it is a shot.

And in all fairness, I do remember that TNC asked some very nice questions of Perry last time. I was kiiding about "going in for the kill".

I have a feeling he knows who I am.

Any question I ask him will be from the heart. Of course he won't answer anything of substance. This is really Tiger Beat crap.

Steve, what's your new cats name? Ashton, thanks for asking

Steve, what was your favourite colour Tailed Tux? Red, but the white one was good too!

Steve, we miss you. Any chance you could come back and sing for your fans? At this time, I am really thinking about it. Perhaps if the timing is right.

Shall I go on?

geez; give him a break. at least he is attempting to answer questions and open a dialog with his fans. he didn't have to do none of this stuff. he is ridiculed if he doesn't try and slammed if he does. if you haven't anything of substance to say then talk about ed norton or sampler or mickie davies.
at least make it interesting. perhaps it will help sell more dvds or perhaps just may be he cares and perhaps it won't be the standard vague answers you can say without thinking this is the most he has done in a very long time; so either appreciate it or start your own thread about mickie.

I think that is a little unfair. I think most people here do support and value what Steve brought. Many would like him to do more. That he appears to be getting out more is wonderful, but to be fair, IMO, I do think that these types of question sessions from him have been softball questions...which is the point I think was being made. Hopefully that will not be the case this time around. Only time will tell. But I don't think for this particular situation he is "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't".

Maybe it's as simple as him giving the only answers he can give at the time. There's no reason to expect him to answer questions about his personal life, we shouldn't even ask. If he doesn't have any definite professional plans would you want him to say he does? If he says he thinks about it and then doesn't do it he's slammed. If he doesn't say anything about his plans he's slammed. It's as if anything he says is wrong to someone. Under those circumstances I can understand why he's guarded about his responses. Why isn't it OK for him to be ambivalent? He doesn't owe us anything, he's paid his debt to his fans, so whatever he offers should be appreciated, not ridiculed. That is, if you're a fan of his work. If not then I guess you're either only a fan of the Journey before and after his time, or only a fan of the instrumental work on all those songs. JMHO of course. :)

I do understand what you are saying... but then I question the point in asking him questions. I think keeping his personal life off-limits is just fine. That leaves fans with limited options...his future plans, and basically his views of what he has already done. For those who are hoping for something more from him...a lack of substantive response is certainly vexing. Do I think it's a nice thing for him to answer...sure. I have nothing at all against him. But I can see why people view his answers as non answers.

Screw off. I support this band a Helluva lot more than you do. How do I know? Because I know you haven't been to 5 shows and bought the cd 2 times.

Look, if what I said is so juvenile, then you have just proved my point. Go look at the last Q+A with Steven. The same questions. Except, I think "what's your favourite colour" was asked. My point was that he will NOT answer anything of substance.

Next time you want to discipline me, do your frickin' homework first.

If you want that softball rah rah shit, go to Backtalk with those other yentas, who cannot live without a Journey topic every 2.5 minutes.

Before I go, here are some questions from the first Q+A.

Do you have a favorite beach in San Diego ?
SP : If I tell you where my favorite beach is you'll know where I live. Sorry I can't tell ya. BUT- I will say, I love those horse races.

What music do you enjoy listening to? I heard you were a fan of Outkast and was wondering if that is true.
SP: Yes, last year when I first heard Outkast I knew that this was going to go all the way. I now like to listen to Keane, Diana Krall, The Postal Service, Florida Inc. and some re-mixers like Thunder Puss 2000 and some new downloadable groups.

you get asked the same questions over and over and over again; and people are waiting for you to say something profound. how many times can you answer the same question without giving the same answer and appearing or sounding interested or even elaborate on the question you've heard a thousand times. he's trying. i give him a lot of credit in pumping interest in to this project. so think of a question he's not heard before and does not invade his privacy. or, just stick to the DVD.
