Well here we are, the "Journey Live in Houston 1981- Escape Tour" - DVD & CD will be released one week from today on November 15th, 2005. That movie...Edward Norton...wow! Intense portrayal. He still chills me with that one.

geez; give him a break. at least he is attempting to answer questions and open a dialog with his fans. he didn't have to do none of this stuff. he is ridiculed if he doesn't try and slammed if he does. if you haven't anything of substance to say then talk about ed norton or sampler or mickie davies.

I think that is a little unfair. I think most people here do support and value what Steve brought. Many would like him to do more. That he appears to be getting out more is wonderful, but to be fair, IMO, I do think that these types of question sessions from him have been softball questions...which is the point I think was being made. Hopefully that will not be the case this time around. Only time will tell. But I don't think for this particular situation he is "damned if he does, damned if he doesn't".

Maybe it's as simple as him giving the only answers he can give at the time. There's no reason to expect him to answer questions about his personal life, we shouldn't even ask. If he doesn't have any definite professional plans would you want him to say he does? If he says he thinks about it and then doesn't do it he's slammed. If he doesn't say anything about his plans he's slammed. It's as if anything he says is wrong to someone. Under those circumstances I can understand why he's guarded about his responses. Why isn't it OK for him to be ambivalent? He doesn't owe us anything, he's paid his debt to his fans, so whatever he offers should be appreciated, not ridiculed. That is, if you're a fan of his work. If not then I guess you're either only a fan of the Journey before and after his time, or only a fan of the instrumental work on all those songs. JMHO of course.

I do understand what you are saying... but then I question the point in asking him questions. I think keeping his personal life off-limits is just fine. That leaves fans with limited options...his future plans, and basically his views of what he has already done. For those who are hoping for something more from him...a lack of substantive response is certainly vexing. Do I think it's a nice thing for him to answer...sure. I have nothing at all against him. But I can see why people view his answers as non answers.

Screw off. I support this band a Helluva lot more than you do. How do I know? Because I know you haven't been to 5 shows and bought the cd 2 times.

Look, if what I said is so juvenile, then you have just proved my point. Go look at the last Q+A with Steven. The same questions. Except, I think "what's your favourite colour" was asked. My point was that he will NOT answer anything of substance.

Next time you want to discipline me, do your frickin' homework first.

you get asked the same questions over and over and over again; and people are waiting for you to say something profound. how many times can you answer the same question without giving the same answer and appearing or sounding interested or even elaborate on the question you've heard a thousand times. he's trying. i give him a lot of credit in pumping interest in to this project. so think of a question he's not heard before and does not invade his privacy. or, just stick to the DVD.
