It feels like Perry really opened up in this one, within the confines of the DVD.

Ha. Funny u mention it, I'm actually on my way out to Borders right now. That, or Tower records. Will look at prices, compare and decide where to pick the dvd up.

Tower on South Street or South Broad is your second best bet if you can't get to a Best Buy.
Make sure you shuffle Generations, too.

It's so nice of Perry to answer fans' questions the same day the DVD comes out (which, of course, is a coincidence). What a nice guy! There is nothing he won't do for his fans.

This is interesting:
oh, and by the way, for the best fidelity please make sure to go into your DVD menu and turn the Dolby compression to – OFF. For some reason, the Dolby Corporation seems to think that all DVDs should be running Dolby automatically. This is a problem for a non-Dolby live concert like this as it was for Bruce Springsteen's “Live In Madison Square Garden.” That is why there was a warning sicker on his DVD and there will be a sticker on this one, too asking you to turn your Dolby off. The sound is too good to allow it to be over compressed for no reason.

Yes, I find that to be a very helpful tip. Gotta make sure I'm getting the max sound possible. Good work outa Steveo. Those questions/A's ranged from that, very utilitatarian, to the dreaded "favorite milkshake" and "favorite dinner" questions. Deano and TNC are right now lining those 2 up on a tee and perusing their racks for their favorite graphite drivers. FORE!, guys

From what I have heard, WalMart is not due to receive the DVD for 2 weeks.
Best Buy is also accepting all coupons or bonus bucks, which they usually do not for new releases.

I have a Best Buy about 2 mins. from my office. I will grab a copy at lunchtime! $11.99 is a great price. I hope it is that price at my BestBuy.

Nice to see Perry likes the song, "Ah, Leah" by Donnie Iris. I have always loved that song, too.

Got it at BestBuy. It was $17.99, not $11.99.

I am now hearing from sevarl people that Best Buy is at $17.99....Still not a bad price for a DVD
and a CD! Remember when DVDs were $24.99? And you still find places like Goody's that regularly price their CDs at $17.99 to $19.99.

I thought the answers to the questions were rather vague. No doubt he picked and chose which ones he wanted to be vague about.
Mystery loves company....No wait, that's misery.

Getting back to a "utilitarian" post:
RE: Steve's "silent treatment" pre-show:
I always thought that was the reason: to preserve his voice....
Sorry, Ross....but that whole BTM thing (paraphrased)
"I'm trying to engage in a conversation and he just walks away....and I'm like "Uh, HELLO?!" was just sooo unintentionally funny.

Yes, a good read!
I did laugh at this comment though - I really love a good cup of black coffee in the morning when I'm checking my e-mails.
So if Steve is online and ever wandered into this message board, no wonder why I can't get an interview!
In any regard - Go Steve!

Certainly were no hard ball questions answered in that interview, huh? "What is your favorite milkshake?" Answer: Chocolate and sometimes Strawberry.

Yeah go figure

, but I have to say, if he wasn't going to let you do the interview it's cool that he let the fans do it.
In any regard - Go Steve!
Absolutely!!!

Sorry Andrew, but I think it's because he
knows you will ask the hardass questions that he doesn't want to answer.....And perhaps he still

holds a grudge or two.
Case in Point is Greggie's post: (Perry answers questions as if he's being interviewed for a teen magazine.)
Greggie wrote::lol: Certainly were no hard ball questions answered in that interview, huh? "What is your favorite milkshake?" Answer: Chocolate and sometimes Strawberry.

He does that because he knows what kinds of questions the fans will ask.

Then he proceeds to go through them and pick and choose which ones he wants to answer.

Expecting you to honor those sacred marriage vows you made a bit ago, sweetie. After all, you
did say you married a Perry look-alike.

Also thought you were more savvy and had more intelligence than to be so google-eyed for a nearly senior-like teenybopper type.
How nice to be able to talk about going to Venice to sit by the water (Where else would he be sitting?) when Journey is playing concerts and busting their keesters, enabling you to have your dream.
jrnyman28 wrote:Now the quest to find Perry's email address can begin....

And
WHO on this board do you figure is just salivating at the thought of getting Steve Perry's email address?

oh, for the
LOVE OF GOD!!!

Do you have a CLUE what a "" AND "" MEANS??
IT MEANS THAT SOMEONE IS JOKING AROUND!!
Geez.....get a life and a sense of humor!!!
Oh, one more thing sweetheart.....
You LEFT OUT the ONE LINE that showed that I was "going along" with another's post.

Y'know, 99% of the time I let things go - but you are clearly patronizing me and "talking down" to me in your reply - so I will respond to this by asking you a question, regarding the underscored part of your quote:
Where EXACTLY did you think I was "going" with my post??
Also thought you were more savvy and had more intelligence than to be so google-eyed for a nearly senior-like teenybopper type.
Did it ever CROSS your mind that maybe all I was referring to in my JOKING REPLY OF A post was sitting down and having an INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION with the man who gave me the inspiration to be a singer? Y'know, to talk about music theory, composition, production, arranging of music, finding a muscial "hook", vocal training, performance, studio experiences, screw-ups, etc??
Nope; didn't think so.....
