Nora,

I have to say. You sound a lot like the Tragically Hip. They are a huge Canadian band. I was expecting to hear something like Journey, but nothing at all comes close, and that is ok, too.

Good luck.

I like those tunes, Nora! Reminds me of old Blondie.

Why is the band called "Trag"? I like your voice and it does sound like Blondie.

You didn't look too closely at the site, did you Marabelle? Check out Nora's last name.

Hey Deano and alll....

Thank you VERY MUCH for your nice comments!!

The "Tragically Hip" comparison....that's freaky . Were you speaking of "Build Machines" only? I went to their website - yeah, the 2 songs "Highway Girl" and "All Canadian Surf Club" DO sound like Mike Townsend (our former lead singer) on lead vox...

....and, our name is found in theirs:

"TRAGically Hip"

things that make you go, "hmmm..."

That CD was made 2 years before I met Mark.....6 years later, TRAG has a new Lead Singer LOL 8)

Thanks again....oh yeah - the other songs are "under construction" right now (the ones that wouldn't "play") - so, "stay tuned" for those...

OH MY GOD!!

Mark just called me....there's a guy who runs a website out of CA called "The New Artist Showcase" that wants to do a PHONE INTERVIEW with us tomorrow night!!

He got our Media Kit in the mail a few days ago; he's familiar with TRAG's "Build Machines" CD (actually got some spin and a slots in regular rotation)

...and absolutely LOVES "11th House"!

So, that's gonna be added too!

Nora, if you were smart, and I mean this, you would both fly out there and do it in person. You are new and you need to prove how serious and hungry you are.

Hire me as manager. I will get you to the promised Land(sorry, Bruce, I had to do it).

Seriously, fly out. The best 1,000 dollars you could spend.

You think Herbie would have Perry and Cain call it in? Nope. he would have them booked on red-eyes.

Nice idea....Unfortunately, we have absolutely NO $$$$ right now.

I'm able to write so much because I'm unemployed!

See? That damned Bush, and his "economic plan."
By the way, it's not a nice idea, it is a crucial one. Ask your label to send you out..do a bunch of shows in a week.

Oh, and file for unemployment online. You'll get a check next week.

You're welcome.

1. We don't have a label...just me & Mark, and

2. Yup...I'm "on the dole"....LESS than $200.00 / week.

On the bright side:

1. I've been going on "day-job" interviews, and

2. I have to call early next week to schedule an audition for Studio time...I may be able to get some VO work....because I'm unemployed!!

"Available ASAP", as I like to say....

Call Joe Liberman and tell him you need some bank to record a Democratic Christian album. I guarantee you, dude would be writing a check out asap.
