Totally NOT true. As The Noble Cause has said correctly, if Not Fraudgeri, then Chafalnt, or someone...hell, they might have gotten the dude from Train, or Satan himself....anyone to keep the band going to spite Espee.

I don't know who the train or satan dudes are, so I won't comment. But Chalfant would never float the Journey boat. No way. And had you not liked Augeri enough, you wouldn't have come along for the ride. I wasn't an Augeri head, but I liked him enough to believe Journey was back.

Neal's fanbase in Journey is smaller than you think. For me Neal is a god, and I buy what ever he makes. To me Journey is his band. But a lot of fans (main stream and augeri heads) don't support Neal like we do. They bitch and moan if he becomes too indulgent or rocks too hard (pussies) but they are loyal to Neal as a part of Journey. If enough fans (granted fewer than Perry fans) are going to carry on about Augeri as if he were Perry...Neal won't withstand the pressure unless Augeri's voice is certified toast. Some of the New Journey fans are Augeri ga ga! They'll be making a fucking quilt next you just watch! How will Neal endure the fan support?

JOURNEY is hardly respected in music. JOURNEY is ridiculed. Always have been. God, i don't know how many times i was ridiculed as a kid because the band I liked was melodic and could sing and play! If Neal let his guitar go flat like Jimmy Page or if Perry couldnt really hit high notes and wailed like a fucked cat as Plant did, they might be respected. But thats not how it was, and I don't think respect has ever been a factor for this band IMO

You know something? I think it's really disgusting that Augeri hasn't said 1 fucking word to acknowledge all the praying. How about "thank u"? And don't give me "gag order". No gag order could stop him saying thank u. What an asshole. I tho't he was a nice guy. I have now completely changed my opinion. He has no respect for his fans. He just put on a good show when he met them. I guess he was a good actor & nothing more & he crowned out his finale by lipping.
