This guy Christopher did the Red13 cover art and, if you follow the link below, you will see that this guy
should be the rightful successor to the legendary Stanley Mouse...
He is absolutely brilliant!!!
BTW, I'd ask permission before copping any of these for Avs and sigs...
It is HARD not to want to use some of them

Yeah, I knew him back in the early days of the BT board. He was pushing that artwork for quite awhile and they finally accepted the "Red 13" art. Cool stuff!

I think Deen used one of these designs for the front of his drums a few years back.
Great work. Wow!

Certainly talented. Some seem a bit "samey" to me, although the very last one "Winged Globe" is IMO the best of the bunch.
Very impressive.

I agree!
THAT should be the next Album cover, hands down, no matter the title

Deen used Wavid's artwork for his drums after using the Red13 artwork from Christopher.

I hate his work for Red 13...looked derivative of Two Fires: Ignition.
However, I have also made posts praising him.
His recently posted alternative cover art for Generations is amazing.
Like all great Journey covers, u can get lost looking at it.

His stuff is great... wish he would add more texture to make them look "real" instead of metallic.

Journey actually had many fans/artists submit ideas for "Generations".
I could be mistaken, but I think Christopher submitted this one.
The one they ultimately chose was uninspired and the scarab isn't even centered properly.

Christopher's pictures are great but I can't get into the artwork that is computer generated for Journey's album covers. I like the more hand-drawn quality of covers like "Infinity", "Evolution", etc.

I said much of the same awhile back. I think that, not only do they have to get back to old-school hand-painted designs with the scarab/planet intact, but they also need to get away from the "digital realm of recording" as well.
Put the band in an old fashioned, ALL ANALOG studio w/ Elson...
Let him dial in all those warm tones from the early years...
Could be killer!
That said, Chris' computer graphics are pretty amazing and would be great if they didn't go the 'hand-painted' route

His Frontiers covers blow away the original. That cover sucked!
Yeah, Chris's stuff is awesome!
Holy Crap, those Generations ones got rejected??? They ROCK. Way better than the original. You can barely read the stuff on that one.
Hey Chris! Try Styx, they could use some album cover help too!

I agree.Unispired cover for "Generations".The colors are good, but the in the middle of that *scarab* I see a *lion*.
I thought I was imagining things,but nope...The lion's face is there.
Am I having too much caffeine?

Christopher's work is excellent. Too bad they didn't pick him for generations, I think the "official" cover is very uninspiring.

Christopher does great work. But he's no Stanley Mouse or even Prairie Prince.

There's some really nice stuff there. Most anything would be better than what they chose for "Generations" IMHO.

I remember talk about analog recording for Generations. But maybe they decided not to...(finances and time being issues)

If they did then someone really screwed up

I don't know about the rest of you but that album doesn't 'sound' great on anything other than a good pair of headphones...
Doesn't have that 'warmth' and true 'studio' feel you got from classic analog studios 20 years ago...
THATS the tone I'm refering to; think ESCAPE/DEPARTURE/FRONTIERS era recordings...
