Here's me hangin' with Iron Maiden frontman, Bruce Dickinson at an after concert party last week , sponsored by Sanctuary records. Iron Maiden blew the fucking roof off the Continental (Meadowlands) arena.....phenomenal show..they played their entire new album, A Matter Of Life And Death, which is excellent by the way and produced by none other than, Kevin (caveman) Shirley. I was looking for Kevin at the party, but I didn't see him.
I'm still working on getting my ass to Baltimore on the 9th....

How was Dickinson? I've heard that he often lives up to the first four letters of his last name.

I like Maiden quite a bit. The only thing I don't like about them is Dickinson's propensity for occultic themes in his lyrics.

Listen to the new album, it's very good and has more of a military theme to it.

I haven't heard it yet but fully intend to. I really liked "Brave New World" but wasn't so impressed with "Dance of Death". Is this one like either of those two?

He does have that reputation...BUT not the night I talked with him...he was very friendly and approachable.

I get quite the opposite impression, i.e. that most Maiden fans love that album. Count me among those that do. I think it's their strongest album from start to finish.

Read this somewhere...

"On a plane to Rome,
Bruce was drivin'.
I thought I was livin'.
He's sure we're dyin'."
