Sooooo, who else is holding their breath awaiting the Dallas DVD?

I, for one, can't wait to see the Dancers displace the front row ticket holders  .

I am guessing the DVD will be out the same day they announce Augeri's return

Oh, wait... It was filmed, so SURELY it will come out. December, right???????

Awww Dallas. I was there, in the front. I made my way up front when the hired gals came in. I didn't really blend, but I tried ;). I felt for the folks that paid top dollar for front row and were tossed aside by the strippers. This was a good show, but I also had no clue about the vocal issues. At the end of DSB, the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders came out and that was fun to see. It is a shame that the documented 30th anniversary show will not see the light of day :( .

Don't they always have lookers filling the front row. I'm pretty sure it was that way in Grand Rapids. The screen flashed them a few times. I could be wrong.

:? Yea...it's ashame..they must have spent a ton of money on the production crews and what not...what a waste! I say salvage at least some of that show and combine it with the best footage from the last 8 years and title the DVD, Journey LIVE 1998-2005. In my opinion, it'd be a nice way to end this chapter of the band and let Steve Augeri go out with a little dignity....
The band could sell this retrospective DVD exclusively thru journeyswag.com with Steve Perry's permission...of course

I think this is a really good idea! It would mean a lot to those of us who had an affection for the Augeri years, and the music the band made during that time.

I just don't quite understand one thing.............if they knew the vocals were not "live" why then did they even bother to spend the money and waste the time to film this, and then promise it as a live DVD to the fans??? Why even bother with the production crews, strippers, etc?

Probably cause THEY never in a gazzillion years thought that THEY would have been sussed out doing what THEY had been doing. So to THEM it wasn't gonna be a problem at all fooling the fans yet again. Do you seriously think they care about the fans!!

This is why I posted this... I more posted as a joke than trying to be mean. I just can't believe some people still think this is going to happen, or that the "OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM JOURNEY, THE ONLY OFFICIAL WORD WE HAVE RIGHT NOW" is the truth.

I usually try to stay nuetral, but I couldn't pass this up.

That is what we all hope for, but we don't think it is going to be that cut and dry after the interviews. It will be nice if it is that clear.

Och we know Steve is gone. As much as I like him I know he's away from Journey...

Nothin is cut and dry but time will tell I suppose.

Gee, yet another "BT is stupid" thread, how original.

I've said before, I really wonder why they spent the money filming that show and hiring people to stand in the front row when Augeri was miming. They HAD to figure someone would catch onto it if it was on DVD, so why bother filming in the first place? Are they that stupid? Especially if miming was mgmt's idea...

I know I will be slammed for this but it really is an honest question...Is there a chance he wasn't miming? I don't know the WHOLE story...only what I have been able to piece together here over the last month or so, but has it been proven 100% other than Deano that this happened? Again...that's nothing against Deano or anyone else, but as far as I have been able to tell I have not seen or heard proof -it's all hearsay.

Let's not get back into it again. Suffice it to say it's pretty clear.

For me what really spoke volumes was the way they mysteriously let Steve go in the midst of Dean's rampage... the way they avoid the subject and delete all mention of it at BT... if SA's voice was bad and he wasn't miming it would have been apparent before they let him go. Instead he only had one horrible show the night before the announcement.

I can't say they are stupid - no one has answered that thread yet, so perhaps the majority have actually seen the truth that we have been shouting for months here.

I just can't believe it took this long for them to accept what we have known all along.

So, no more rudeness from me against others. I am just glad the truth has finally been accepted at sites other than this one.

I agree with you here. I don't think the Augeri fans are stupid, and I am one of them. The writing is on the wall, and has been there for many months. However, that does not make it any easier to accept or to believe, especially when you are truly a fan.

I don't know what has been harder to accept in all of this, the fact that Steve Augeri had to be replaced or the fact that he has lost his voice (a voice many of us came to love) and that may be permanent. Either way, when you are a fan and the person you admire is down and out, it hurts. I know so many here will understand. It has happened before.

So your acceptance and understanding of the "BTers" is admirable. Many over there are hurting, and unwilling to let go just yet. It just happened much faster over here, probably due to the openess and uncensored debates, which is why so many prefer to get their news here. :)

Hey Mandi, I just want to say that I think ur cool in the way u have dealt w/all of this. I know it hasn't been easy. I have a friend who was an Augeri fan from his days in NY a long time ago. I've seen her pain first hand as she went from shock & horror at what was being said, to defending some augmentation was used, not accepting JSS, & finally now realizing some of the truth. Her emotions were a lot like I went thru about the loss of Perry. It's amazing how much this band means to us all. I hope some healing can occur for everyone.

Funny thing is this.....NIG, Deano and 13, SWORE by this lineup. What's different? Still aint Perry. Live, tape or karaoke...it ISN'T original. Journey-Perry=0. Simple math.

Agreed. Would love this....
Remains to be seen what if any acrominy exists among Augeri/Jrny and how it would apply to such a release but I would really like this as a final token of that era.

Really sounds like u guys are just asking for a little closure. But I have to wonder if that would be enough. It seems no one has closure from the Perry/Journey era even now, all these years later. What is enough closure?

Thank you so much, JRox, for your kind words. Feeling like others understand and accept the feelings I am going thru means a great deal! I know now what the Perry fans felt, and I can understand the fierce dedication to him (he truly is one of kind). I can love Journey with JSS, but I will always have a soft spot for SA, regardless of what went down. I know you, and some others here know what I mean, and I appreciate that!! It is time to move forward!!
